With Josh Johnson at the helm this week, does this help or hurt Williams this week? He's put up 2 really good weeks prior.

If you have even a decent alternative I'd sit Williams. He's been on fire of late but Johnson isn't known for being a good passer so it's hard to feel good about Williams today. I'm rolling with him because I don't have better options available but I'm lowering my expectations considerably. With Freeman, Williams' upside was 15-20 points in PPR. I'll be happy if I get 10 out of him today.

That was my thoughts as well. Just wondering if Johnson has been known to "lock into" Williams or not.

Johnson's last start came in 2009, before Williams was on the team. There's no way to know how this is going to impact Williams but conventional thinking makes it likely to assume this won't be good for Williams. But Morris did say Johnson had a great week of practice and the matchup isn't difficult (Gamble's having a good year but the Panthers have given up a lot of passing production lately) so it's not out of the question Williams could do well. But I think if you're starting him today you're more in hope mode than doing so with any real confidence. At least that's how I'm feeling about him.

I have a feeling that he might. There could be someone else he has rapport with (Briscoe maybe?! :excited: ) but I have a feeling he could force feed his best target more like Freeman was doing last year.I could roll with Knox or Greg Little... or Donald Brown or McGahee! I think I'm standing pat though... Blount is gonna open up the PA pass and Williams is gonna score again.... TWICE even!NM... rollin with Willis.ETA: meh, always go w/ the gut
