what are the chances that a fat guy and his wife from GB could get a fair deal on Vikings tickets if they went to Mpls for the game?

where's the best place to search? any secret tips? any good places online to find them for reasonable prices??

are Packers v Vikes tickets going to be ridiculously overpriced?

you will see the guys who have tickets outside the stadium, I have always got them face value or less. Only did it three times so no secret tips, I saw people all over while driving. Have not tried to scalp gb-vikes tickets though, they go pretty high from what I hear, like high enough to pay for most or all of your season tickets....

that's my fear

pretty much the same gig around here. scalpers try to rip people off for the Bears and Vikings games. though if you search hard enough face value can be had.

looking around online there seem to be tix available in the 80-100 range but they're upper endzone. what kinda seats are those?

The stadium is awful, but not really any bad seats, view-wise. You probably will be able to find tix this year- but GB will always be tough since the GB homers will flood the joint.AWESOME town and night-life, and a great pre-game party. I'm a Lions fan, went there a couple of years ago and loved it.

anything way up top sucks imo, your in the building but its almost better being at home, they do show alot of replays on the big screen at least. those prices sound about doubled but I could be wrong.

Packers vs vikes tickets you looking to pay at least double the face value, IMO. Lower deck or a couple rows up on the 2nd deck, anything else your best to go find a TV somewhere

should be plenty of tix laying around....on the street is where you find them. In 20 years of going to games, I have never been offered tix in a bar...

It won't be hard to find them....and if you are patient you should be able to get them at/near face.

Get tickets from stubhub or ebay, you will pay a 20% or so premium over face value but not have to meet a scalper's demands.

I would rather have my tickets in-hand before traveling for a game & trying to get them there.

Though I have road tripped to games in St Louis & Cincy w/o tickets. I just got tickets from scalpers. All stadiums have an abundance of ticket sellers outside, Minny will be no different.

I think Furley is really asking any FBG have a spare couple of tickets and be willing to cut him a deal?

No FBGers have a couple of extra tickets for Furley at face value?

Furley, I am relocting next week from SW Minnesota and getting back up along the Minn/Wisc border but back on the right side in the land of beer, brats and cheese. This being a Packer backer down here just doesn't cut it.

those are pretty poor. i usually sit there for baseball games and it's a ways away. you're in the stadium though which may be worth the dough.

Welcome back from the darkside GB!!!

As of 8/29, the ticket situation looked good for buyers:

Vikings can't even sell Packers tickets

Press-Gazette

Want to see the Green Bay Packers play the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis on Sept. 30? The Vikings have thousands of tickets available, and would love to sell them.

Facing a television blackout for the first time in 10 years, the Vikings are starting a big push to sell 5,800 tickets to their Sept. 9 home opener against the Atlanta Falcons, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

NFL rules require teams to sell out home games within 72 hours of kickoff to allow the games to be televised locally. The Vikings must sell 62,000 tickets, but they’ve sold only 56,200 for the Falcons game.

The Vikings earlier tried to pump up sales for the Falcons game by requiring anyone who wanted tickets to the Sept. 30 game against the Packers to buy the same number of tickets for the opener.

That didn’t work as well as hoped.

Thousands of tickets remain for both games, as well as all six other Vikings home games.

linkAlso, looks like you can still get some limited tickets through ticketmaster. You won't want a single, but the lower level hospitality package might be worth it since you're bringing the wife:

Look For Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers Tickets

Additional Information:

A limited number of single tickets remain for this game.

Lower Level Ticket/Hospitality packages available! Act fast, only 40 remain! Package includes a lower level game ticket and a 2-hour pregame buffet - only $225.00 per person. Please call the Minnesota Vikings at 612-338-4537 to purchase these packages.

Furley - Congrats if you got your tickets early. If not, better get out the crowbar and pry that wallet open now that the Packers are 3-0 and Favre is looking for #421.

3-0 record, chance that Favre will break TD record hikes prices

The Packers are playing in Minneapolis on Sunday, but the Metrodome may look like a sea of green and gold as Green Bay fans buy up available tickets for a divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

“Our Web sites were loaded up with orders this morning,” said Dennis Garrity, president of Packer Fan Tours. “There was a lot of interest before and obviously (there) is a lot more now.”

The Packers (3-0) will face the Vikings (1-2) in a noon game in which quarterback Brett Favre may break the NFL record of 420 passing touchdowns. Favre matched Dan Marino’s record Sunday in the Packers 31-24 win over the San Diego Chargers at Lambeau Field.

The game is sold out, which is driving up ticket prices. Tickets range from $80 to $600 on some auction and ticket Web sites.

“Until last night, we had various tickets for as low as $75, but those days are long behind us now,” Garrity said. “Who knows where it will be in a few days?”

Many people also are looking ahead to the rest of the Packers schedule. On Oct. 7, the defending NFC champion Chicago Bears come to Lambeau Field.

“If the Pack goes 4-0 into the Chicago game, it’s going to be phenomenal,” Garrity said. “I cannot think of a game as significant outside of a playoff.”

Garrity said Packers’ games that many people weren’t paying attention to now have added significance: Carolina Panthers at Lambeau on Nov. 18 and at Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 29.

“We’re bracing ourselves for that,” he said.
