Mixed Nuts - which nut is king? (1 Viewer)

I like them all. The last few years I've started favoring the Brazil nuts.

Trader Joe's has a fancy mixed nuts offering. It has no peanuts, but it does have something they list as filberts, which are small globular and crunchy. I believe they are a type of hazelnut or something very close to it. I like those too. That mix also contains pecan fragments.

I get a bag of that and a bag of lightly salted peanuts, throw them into a mason jar, which gives just the right amount of saltiness and peanut mixture.

Similar with the Brazil nut, I like them both, but I can understand why others don't.

I can tell you which is the court jester - the Brazil Nut - horrible

Its the primary food source for Selenium, which may be linked to reducing inflammation. I choke down a dozen a week or so for that and some other micronutrients.

Yep...those 3-4 pecans you get are like little treasures, which should tell everyone they are the superior nut.  Let the peasants have their cashews but give more more pecans dammit
