the IDEA of starting the 2 minute offense with two minutes left wasn't half bad.
The EXECUTION? ughh
"Points come out of the passing game!!"Ron Jaworskihow do you lose when you have the ball on offense for 45 minutes and hold manning to only 15 minutes. wow.
Pennington's got to be the only QB in the league for whom a throw from the opponents' 30 is a "hail mary."

When you milk the clock too early it comes back to haunt you.the IDEA of starting the 2 minute offense with two minutes left wasn't half bad.The EXECUTION? ughh
Wow, notice the contrast in the post-game interview from Manning vs. Brady. Peyton was friendly and respectful, Brady had a too-cool-for-school piss poor attitude.Peyton Manning is classy.
Couldn't agree more. Solid coaching choice there to go with the two minute offense while trailing with two minutes left.the IDEA of starting the 2 minute offense with two minutes left wasn't half bad.
Yet he managed to hit Ginn in the hands when it counted(?)Ignoramus said:Pennington's got to be the only QB in the league for whom a throw from the opponents' 30 is a "hail mary."
How many points does your league give you for positive post-game interviews? Nah, Orton's hail mary is probably about 20 yards.Ignoramus said:Pennington's got to be the only QB in the league for whom a throw from the opponents' 30 is a "hail mary."

how many points do you get for being a tool?ETA - i'm a brady fan, and usually like his bad boy attitude. plus, giselle every night could make any guy too cocky to talk to suzy.Probably the same amount that Brady got you after Week 1...?How many points does your league give you for positive post-game interviews? Sincere question here. Do you honestly believe your post about Brady v Manning had no tool factor.Don't throw insults or flame players without expecting someone to call you out on it.How many points does your league give you for positive post-game interviews? I watched the replay and no way was that an INT.No one will remember this but how important was that horrible call at the end of the first half where the INT was overturned (no objective person would have ruled that the CB did not have possesion)???? The Colts completed a pass after that and got a FG to tie the game. Those three points at the end of the game meant that Miami needed a TD otherwise they could have kicked a FG on the IND 30 at the end of the game to win. Horrible call, and I am a MN fan, not a Miami fan. Simply horrible. Sometimes I wonder what those guys are seeing--I can understand mistakes on the field but I hate it when the instant replay is so obviously decided incorrectly. Horrible.

That wasn't even close to a catch. Apparently you did not watch last week's MNF game. Wilson's INT was nowhere near as close to being a reception. No one will remember this but how important was that horrible call at the end of the first half where the INT was overturned (no objective person would have ruled that the CB did not have possesion)???? It isn't just Colts/Jags games that are like that. It seems like most Colts games since 2006 are like that. This was just an extreme example of this. That reminded me of so many Colts/Jaguars games. The Colts seem like they're getting dominated the whole time until they win.

I don't know what a INT a week ago has to do with the price of tea in China. Look--a man either catches it or he doesn't--and he caught it. I just don't see where there was even a question. Several people in this thread have said it wasn't an interception. It wasn't. I won't get into a tool argument with you. I don't trust "several people." I believe what I see. You can see the replay here--despite what the media say the CB clearly has possession and the ground forces the fumble. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2009092100/2...phins#tab:watchSeveral people in this thread have said it wasn't an interception. When a player goes down, he has to main possession until his motion is stopped ("all the way down"). It has been the rule for a few seasons now. I remember Chris Chambers losing a glorious TD reception to this rule, possibly back when it only applied to out of bounds end zone situations.I don't know what a INT a week ago has to do with the price of tea in China. The ground didn't cause a fumble. It caused an incomplete pass.As everyone else pointed out, this wasn't even close. The most misquoted "rule" in all of football. If he lost possession upon hitting the ground, by the actual rule, it was not a catch.and the ground forces the fumble.
Nah, he can heave it 50 yards. He just can't get it within 5-10 yards of where we wants it when he does.Nah, Orton's hail mary is probably about 20 yards.Ignoramus said:Pennington's got to be the only QB in the league for whom a throw from the opponents' 30 is a "hail mary."
