***MNF - Cowboys at Chargers*** (-1.5, 51) 8:15 (2 Viewers)

McCarthy must have watched the Giants bungle the end of the 1st half last night and said let me just take the FG and not let Dak screw it up.
McCarthy doesn't need to watch another team screw up,he can do it well enough on his own.

I’m still confused why the clock ran after the Gallup catch. Didn’t the hit send him out of bounds? I thought I knew this rule

He was going backwards. Clock runs if you exit the field of play going backwards.
I guess I just didn’t see it as a backwards movement. By the time it’s a catch, he’s at the sideline at the 37 and immediately goes out. Nonetheless, I’m more confused as to why a timeout wasn’t called.

You can’t actually be worried about Palmer scoring 35+ lol

I have a bunch of games hinging on these performances, so I wouldn't mind if he scored twenty-one or so on three one yard touchdowns.

That said, I've seen too many of these on this board
:ptts:

Never relenting, never supposing, never resting

And . . . everybody who hated going for it is going to note Derius Davis just took a punt right back inside the fifty. This has been your analytic PSA of the night.

I definitely still take a 10-10 game over “we’re losing but field position!”

Josh Kelley. Not a great back. Isaiah Spiller? He helped teach me my dynasty lesson of taking guys too soon in rookie drafts when they don't have their team's draft capital to support doing that. Lesson learned. Never listen to internet guys doing mph analysis from their televisions.

Senger! Great to see you.

Unfortunately, expected win percentage would probably disagree with you, and that's what I'm going with in that instance.

They're nearly immediately on the twenty-five.

Spiller never looked like the best RB at his college. Couldn't believe the hype he had. Trey Sermon was like that too, only Sermon is probably better.

Unfortunately for you I am ready to die tonight and this hill is all I have.

That does look like a "for sure" statement in retrospect. But the other guy hasn't proven he can play more than a few consecutive games in the NFL. We'll see about the pounding aspect of the NFL for an undersized guy. I know people are tired of that argument and knee injuries happen to even 5'11", 220 pound guys, but we'll see.

But yeah, a Devon is a better back than Spiller.

Another way to look at it is, the Chargers just completely dominated the 3rd quarter...and have 3 points to show for it. But ANALYTICS!!

YES IT SHOULD BE 13-10!

Except, no, it shouldn't. They dominated the quarter because they had them in bad field position and never relented on having that advantage. They had seven tries inside the ten and couldn't cash out.

I thought Achane was much better in 2021.

Spiller never looked like an NFL starter in my eyes.

His volume has carried him a bit so far, but man Pollard has been disappointing this year. The big plays are just not there. Is it the injury, is it Moore being gone, was Zeke wearing down defenses (least likely) but its been tough sledding.

Every time Pollard gets the ball, it's like he's looking at a team portrait of the Chargers D.

Nowhere to go

First down at the nine. Right back where they started a few minutes ago.
And it could have been 10-10 going in for 13-10 or 17-10.

The difference is about 20 yards starting field position. You can play whatever results we want too.

I see too many dumb tactical decisions these days as well as horrid clock management.
