Just some random thoughts -
His top 13 is extremely similar to mine, which means it's probably very wrong.
The Rosen drop does seem like a bit much. I think his floor is 1.11 with Miami.
It's interesting that he has the Pats doubling down on OL with their two 1sts - they do need a Solder replacement, but they have other needs too.
I saw reports that while the Cowboys are interested in Sutton, they don't view him as a first round pick, and other teams are thinking the same thing as well. I'd be kinda surprised if he's a 1st rounder at this point, let alone the top WR taken.

Also if someone loves Lauletta or Rudolph, no way they skip into the 2nd. Someone will come up just to get the 5th year option if they believe in them that much.

That's easily the highest I've seen anyone suggest lauletta would go. I was thinking he'd be available in the third (would like the Titans to shore up their backup)

Good points across the board We do have to be right sometimes! My take on Rosen is that he hasn't received near the pub (Some Team could shock us) I'd be willing to say leaving NE blank would be just as good a mock really It seems like an early move is to trade out for them (I know its BS! Mixed feelings on his pick for my steelers of Sony Michel. Sure, he is a talent, and could be a nice combo with Bell, just if the lighten the load on Bell, if he remains a Steeler for 3-4 more years, or Michel could be a nice RB1 if Bell leaves(likely). But at the same time, Steelers need help on D more than RB. Where is LVE is his draft? I thought that was going to be his pick for the 'Lers.

Mock Mayock peaked in 2013.
The pre-draft interview debacle seems to me less like he was exagerating and more like he got pulled aside by his agent or whomever after the fact and told to back track and knock it off or he is going to have a serious problem with the league and team execs. It just seems far more likely to me that some rich, powerful #######s told the 20 year old kid to shut his mouth than a guy making up some ridiculous story about his combine interviews for attention.

Ok, then the concern is about discretion and knowing when to just let it slide. I'm sure nearly every player was put in similar situations. As a 21 year old black male making millions of dollars he's going to have about a bajillion more affronts to him in his life, so handling those is a concern either way it ended up going down. Sometimes you gotta look at the big picture and realize it's not worth stirring up. Either way these can be pretty minor things but when he's the one guy involved in them, that's what people are going to talk about.

Saints are very tough to pick for since they are loaded at every spot. I think a guy like Goedert or Geisecki makes more sense. TEs usually take awhile to develop but the Saints won't have an issue letting their TE play strictly as a slot WR and not even worrying about blocking.SaintsInDome2006 said:

Agree that it is an awful pick. Ben is likely at the end of the road, Bell might be in his last year. They need to draft a player that can help them win now.

I’ll just end this by saying that it is very obvious that those big-name reporters for the NFL are given an agenda to push on issues like this. The amount of times his off field issues have come up is completely ridiculous and overblown, Never mind the fact that they referred to them as often field issues and very rarely actually talk about what it is that he did. You’ve heard more about Derrius Guice and his office field issues this year then you heard about Joe Mixon in his last year. And Joe Mixon literally has a video of him knocking a woman out

This is a fair point. We've seen it happen before - while Brady Quinn and Geno Smith ultimately were busts both fell much further than everyone expected as well to the point ESPN showed their "pain" after each pick passed on them.

Yeah, my philosophy is if in doubt, take DL, OL or CB. Those are the most valuable non-QB positions and they require a lot of depth. No modern team ever said "oh darn we have too many pass rushers" or "its too bad we can't find a place to play this cornerback".

Eagles don't take RBs in the first round. Last one was Keith Byers in 1986. In the last 20 years (well 18 since they didn't have a 1st for 2) they've selected 5-DE, 4-DT, 3- WR, 3-OT, 2-QB and 1-CB. If they don't trade out, they'll probably go OL, WR or CB since QB and DL are pretty set.

I'm all for raising the standards of the NFL from 15 years ago when they were all doing cocaine and beating their wives, but when letting it be known that some teams asked rude questions in their interview is considered "off the field issues" I think we might have gone too far.
