Monday Night Football: 2-8 Carolina @ 3-7 Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate

Can't wait to see the ratings for this one. Even with Vick and McCoy, it would have been barely watchable.

I guess the gamblers and fantasy players will always tune in.

I hear ya.

Every Saturday I set the DVR to record the games I want to watch.

This is the first week of the year I've skipped the MNF game.

I won't even be watching it... I would if it had some FF implications for me but it doesn't.

Will be nice to get to bed early on Monday night.

I'll be watching. Don't have a choice as an Eagles fan. Luckily, it's beyond being angry now and is just funny to see how bad this is. Lets go 3-13 the hard way baby!

Eagles? Maybe D-Jax or Maclin but you better sit them at this point.Panthers? Steve your sitting and CAM? Well hopefully you bought into someone else.Personally the only way this is worse is if its Oakland and St. Louis (without Amendola) then for sure there is no one starting in fantasy.

If you're a Cam Newton owner, this is your week.

Fairly good chance that Nick Foles dies on Monday night with that o-line and no McCoy to take the heat off. Seems like a nice enough kid, so I hope he survives.

Hey now - we still have Lauinaitas racking up tackles in IDP leagues....and Legatron....

Ughhh, don't even joke about that. This must have looked like a nice matchup to ESPN before the season started. You had Cam coming off a Rookie of the Year season, and the Panthers were thought to be up-and-coming. And the Eagles are seemingly always in contention. But this is a nightmare scenario.

The NFL should be ashamed of themselves for not moving them off MNF. Huge mistake, who is gonna watch this mess?

I thought the point of the moving games is to prevent a game like this from being in prime time, if not gonna move this game, then what game?

I will. I...will!Love me a good :tfp: . Time for the :bag: 's to start coming out on National TV. Playing for 3-13 at this point, been a while since we had a high-er draft pick in Philly. :kicksrock:

Let's says hypothetically someone traded in a keeper league late mid season for Cam when his value was at its lowest. Then let's say the same person had lucked into the Brandon Lloyd hype and the only trade partner he could find would give him Steve Smith a couple of weeks ago

All just about believable so far, but then imagine this same player had McCoy who got injured and couldn't afford the FAAB required to grab Bryce Brown. Desperate, this plucky player even sent offers on deadline day for the likes of Shonn Greene, but no, the only trade partner he could find gave hime J. Stewart for Kenny Britt and Starks.

I give you the perfect storm of a 7-4 team with more interest in the game than anyone else in the world

Only Sunday night games from Weeks 11-16 can be moved. As for the Week 17 SNF game, that gets decided later. Currently no game is listed for the nighttime of Week 17.

I am NOT a Cam fan but I am sure he still has drawing - meanwhile who wouldn't want to see the Eagles/Reid trainwreck unfold??

not your typical game involving two sorry teams.

as an eagles fan, hoping they lose out and get a really high pick. need to clean house of the coaches and some of the players, esp vick.

I'm starting Stewart and Brown so I'm actually really looking forward to this game. If anyone ever questions the significant impact fantasy football has on the NFL, just point to this game. The only reason anyone who isn't a Panthers or Eagles fan would even bother to tune in is to see how their fantasy players are doing. Without fantasy football, most people would probably watch "Two Broke Girls" tomorrow night and fall asleep on the couch.

Another vote for the Carolina D. I love watching games where I have the D playing, so I'll probably be tuning in.

I think we'll have to wait and see the ratings before you can point to it. Personally, I'll be surprised if the ratings are anything other than abysmal. But if I'm wrong and the ratings are anything other than crap, then I have to imagine it will have been because of FF viewership. However, personally, I'm in the Two Broke Girls and sleep category.

The promos for these games can be pretty funny.

For the Steelers-Chiefs game it was 99% Ben, Polamalu etc etc etc Steelers and then at the very end it's 'take on the Kansas Ciuty Chiefs!' with a picture of Jamaal Charles trying to squeeze through the line.

Personally as a football fan I'm interested to see how Foles does, maybe how badly.

And generally I'm a fan of bad football, it can weirdly make for good football watching. For instance if Newton screws this one up...

Starting Stewart/Brown as well with not much confidence. A good excuse to watch bad football.

Interested to see how FOles and Brown do. Starting Cam in a couple leagues. I'll be watching.

This is why fantasy football is so important to the NFL and its' sponsors. I have no interest in either teams, no playoff implications to make it interesting, but I'm fighting for a fantasy playoff spot and picked up and am starting Brown, so I'll be tuning in.

I'm sure I'll see Peyton shilling for Papa Johns at least once.

I'm obligated as an Eagles fan, but I also can't wait to see how many times they tell us "careful what you wish for" and show meaningless Reid stats that were padded a decade ago. How about instead of showing Reid's career stats, they show what he's done in the last 5 or 6 years. Or how about his record without Jim Johnson. That paints a truer picture of the current Andy Reid.

I'm sure I'll see Peyton shilling for Papa Johns at least once.
He's not only pimping Papa John's because he got paid for the commercial. He's got a vested interest now.
Peyton Manning became the newest franchisee for Papa John's pizza, signing a deal to own 21 stores in the Denver area Friday, the same day the pizza maker also announced it had signed a multiyear contract to continue as the official pizza of the NFL and the Super Bowl. Terms were not disclosed."He's the kind of partner we're looking for, not only in marketing but in business," said Papa John's chief marketing officer, Andrew Varga.

ESPN just played the promo for this game."As the pressure rises, both teams look for a STATEMENT WIN to silence the critics!"

I'm honestly interested in watching Cam Newton. I don't think I've seen a full game of his....only highlights.

ETA: Cam is not on any of my fantasy teams.

Every single game in my league is complete this week already with the exception of mine. I have a 21 point lead plus carolinas D and bryce brown versus steve smith and jonathan stewart. So yes I will be watching with interest.

My league is total points and I'm the only team in the Top 4 that has anyone going. This has become the game of the week for me.

I'm going to go ahead and place some $ on this game just so that I have a reason to tune in. I don't like any bets though, Carolina -3  Maybe the first half under 20.5

I have nothing concrete to base this on but I think the Eagles will win tonight. Maybe being at home will help and it's not like the Panthers have been all that good offensively. If I was in Vegas I'd put money on Philly but I'd wait until the last possible minute. The spread keeps going up in favor of the Panthers. It's been going up for the past few days now and might get to 4 or maybe even 4.5 by game time.

I really don't mind Monday night games involving teams with poor records. I have seen some of the Eagles this year but have not seen Carolina play at all this year. I like getting an opportunity to see a different team every once in a while. I wouldn't want these sorts of matchups every week but these once in a while matchups of poor teams does not bother me.

Starting Stewart and Keuchley in an IDP league. Hoping for a TD from Stewart and about 20 tackles from Luke.
I see your Stewart and Kuechly and raise you a Graham Gano! :bag: Sadly, as a Panthers fan, I'll watch. Hoping they lose so we keep raising that draft pick for 2013... and barring an absolute miracle night from the aforementioned trio of Panthers, I've already lost in the league I'm using them, so...

Need about 42 point out of Cam in my FFPC semi final matchup. I am hoping this is finally the week he reminds me why I drafted him early.

Def. 1 chick I wouldnt mind seeing topless.. not sure how old she is but she's had those fun bags for awhile.
Well, I know by the fact that you posted here that you have access to the internet....Also have a 5 point lead with Bryce Brown against Steve Smith so I'll be watching.

I don't really get all the hate for Vick. I know he hasn't played up to the $100M contract he signed, but it can't be hard to operate behind that porous offensive line. While he could avoid a lot of those hits with more mental aptitude for blitz pickups, he can only do so much if other people aren't doing their jobs.

I've never been a Vick fan but he impressed the hell out of me this season by how tough he was. He absorbed a ton of punishment every week and it wasn't until Week 10 that he finally couldn't take it anymore.
