**Monday Night Football - Giants at Steelers** (-6, 36.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

So if a guy catches the ball in the middle of the end zone and hops 35 times on one foot to the sidelines, it's not a TD?
2 feet down is the rule. Always has been.
Two different feet? - some lawyer, probably

You’re exactly right. You don’t think they have crazy-*** lawyers and linguists writing the rulebook thinking specifically of **** like that?

We (I went to law school but am not a lawyer) can take stat drafting and interpretation in school. It’s wicked hard and that’s basically what you’re concentrating on. Making sure the language is tight and unambiguous and making sure that the actual wording will have the end result that the drafters want.

"nut cuttin' time"

:lmao:

I was sort of listening and between the accent and the content I couldn’t believe he said that. You just confirmed it. LT.
Brett brown used to say this in Sixers press conferences and it was glorious. It doesn’t mean nuts like balls though, it’s some old phrase about literally cutting nuts

Well, I learned something new.

Yep. It was Peyton and Eli’s reaction that sort of made it dirty. I heard it and thought “WTF” and then thought of nutcrackers and shelled nuts, so it’s certainly passable. But their reactions betrayed where their minds were at.

To play devil’s advocate…

in another scenario, the receiver diving to the sideline could theoretically drag only 1 foot, and that foot could bump off the ground a couple times.

Is that a catch? Never.

So both feet does make sense.

It does bear saying that this Giants defense has been getting better by the week. They were a little out of synch, and they lost Thibodeaux, who was having a nice season.

They’d looked a little better weeks 4 on.

Fields would have sprouted wings and flown over the defensive line for a first down there. Just sayin'.

Man, I’ve gone for the laugh emoji over a bunch of your comments recently but they took it away.

THEY TOOK IT FROM US!
I just feel safer, in this safe space, not having to face possible humiliation placed on me by...checks notes...a laughing circle face.
