Montario Hardesty (1 Viewer)

Phil thinks those that have called him injury prone were correct. Who's going to get the next crack, Jerome or Hillis?
Next crack? Harrison was the starting back before this injury.Phil has shown to be pretty clueless on multiple occasions since his recent arrival. I'm hoping this is an alias from the guys over at :e:... otherwise it's getting kinda sad. :kicksrock:

Going out to the garage to install heavy duty shocks on the Hillis bandwagon, by week 2 we're expecting a full load!

interesting. it's the other knee. So this has nothing to do with the other injury...

Montario Hardesty left Thursday's preseason finale in the second quarter with a left knee injury.Hardesty, who looked terrific with 25 yards and a touchdown on seven totes before the injury, was able to walk off the field and into the locker room under his own power. While any injury is a concern for a player with as checkered a history as Hardesty's, the good news is that this is not the same knee that's troubled him all camp. His previous injury was to his right knee. In the game, Hardesty displayed impressive quickness and power between the tackles. He started, playing ahead of James Davis and Chris Jennings.

This may be true, but he played all year last season with a ton of carries. He has proven he can go a whole season. I'm hoping this is just a run of bad luck.
I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, so I hope I'm wrong. But Hardesty only carried the load one season and had a fairly extensive injury history at Tennessee.
He had an injury history, but he also played behind Arian Foster. He also played for a staff that once admitted they "forgot" to play him one game. The left knee is the one that he had an ACL fix while at UT a few years back.

Harrison was the starting rb only because Hardesty was injured. Harrison has been with several regimes and none have seen fit to place their trust in him.If healthy, Hardesty would have quickly become starter. Harrison is nothing to get excited over.

It's still his job to lose.

The Browns have a good OL, & if their passing game can hold its own, look for Hardesty to have a strong rookie season. His ADP is way too low in redraft leagues, IMO.

lol denial. Harrison is the starter and will remain even if Hardesty manages to get healthy at some point this season.. One thing you can bet on Hardesty will NEVER carry a full load... to fragile

Ya but he'll always be able to tell you the entire defenses last names.

Damn Hardesty is a talented player.

Just his bad luck to end up in CLE. With his health concerns its only a matter of time til the staph infection sets in.

For those thinking about James Davis word in Cleveland is that he might not make the team as he does not contribute enough on special teams.

I think Hillis is the one to have. Harrison is having a terrible preseason with fumbilitis while Hillis has looked like a man among boys.

Guess there is a reason he was a 5th year senior. I just can't trust this guy. Ig you can't play, you can't help my FF team.

I am on the outside looking in on this but I think James davis has looked better than anybody else as far as complete games. He can run, has speed, and can catch. Isn't that the kind of back that Holmgren has always liked?

I'm thinking Davis may be the Shark move. Hillis has never stayed healthy. for all we know, Hardesty could have a legit issue. I think Davis maybe is a guy that, 8 weeks from now, looks like a steal in a ppr. He may not get 100 yards each week and may be hit or miss on TDs but if he is catching 4-6 passes a game and has any yardage at all,, thats a solid flex play.

But I think it was the same knee he had micro fracture surgery on back in college

Davis was injured last night as well.. Looks like that backfield is going to be a revolving door this season..

From Schefter: "Early diagnosis on Browns rookie RB Montario Hardesty: torn ACL. More exams today to confirm the news, but a blow to the Browns."
