Montario Hardesty (1 Viewer)

Per Adam Schefter:

Early diagnosis on Browns rookie RB Montario Hardesty: torn ACL. More exams today to confirm the news, but a blow to the Browns.

Huge bumps to Harrison and Hillis. I envision both of these guys getting a steady diet of carries.

Tate and Hardesty...wow.

The sneaky play is James Davis. Kid got his shot yesterday and made the most of it. I like him to emerge. He can be had rather inexpensively these days.

Wow this sucks, really hate it for the guy. At least he will have a full year to recuperate.

One of my leagues I own Hardesty, Tate, Avery....

That's too bad. Poor kid just can't ever stay healthy. He looked good last night prior to the injury.

Spent a 13th round flier pick on him; sounded like Mangini wanted him to be the guy.

I was at the game last night and Id say he is rosterable in a dynasty. He carried 2-3 guys forward a few yds on 2 plays. I think each of the 3-4 carries he had went for 6ydish. I really cant believe the injury was that bad.. Although he was down for a couple mins he did get up and walk off without a limp. I really was hoping it wasnt anything serious. Bad Blow to this kid and my Browns. Fortunately we have very solid RB depth this year. If anyone is wondering which to grab not incl Harrison Id have to say both if possible. Hillis runs very hard so I wonder if that isnt a good thing over the course of the season..

Bump Finley and Rodgers a little more.
I already have them both at 1.1
That is not high enough.
I have them both valued at around the 1.1 pick from 2009, this season. On topic, just more great luck for my Browns. I guess Harrison will finally get his shot over a full year, if he can manage to hold off Hillis.

Will be funny if Hillis manages to get the starting job, and does well. Hey, THAT was why we drafted Brady Quinn! :)

this guys injury rap sheet is why i stayed away from him.

If i remember correctly he has already had microfracture surgury, which is a death knell for long term success IMO.

RIP Montario, we hardly knew thee.

To be honest, I'd say we could probably stick a fork in both Tate and Hardesty. They weren't 1st rounders and don't they both have injury history? They'll be replaced next year by healthier guys. And heck, both of the current head coaches (Kubiak and Mangini) could be replaced in the off season. They (the RB's) are done!

Get what you can for them in trade.

Interesting question. The guy in my 31 man roster dynasty league with IDP who has Hardesty is pissed (he also has Tate, S Rice, D'Qwell Jackson and had Thomas Davis).

He's offering Hardesty right now for a "top tier LB or Safety". Should I trade for him and stash him on my 1 IR spot (not counted in the 31 man roster).

I have Beason (not moving him), D Ryans, Mayo, Levy, Delmas, R Harper and Y Bell. I really, really love my defense, but getting a young RB with a (possible) 2011+ future for a defensive player does sound nice. Thanks for any help!!

so is this bum even worth rostering in 22 man dynasty's?
Do you have an IR slot?
nope. I guess we thought 22 would be big enough w/o them.
guess it depends on the size of the league, starting line up requirements, and what players you'd have to cut in order to keep him.I'd say he's worth sitting on if you can still field a strong line up. If you need to make a WW move, manybe not.I've IR'd Tate in a 12 team league where we keep 25 players +IR, so he's one of 26 that I'm keeping in a 12 teamer..

I don't think I'd trade a top tier anything for him at this point (baring Kicker). He's still just a rookie prospect..

why would you trade for a guy who not only has a horrendous injury rap sheet in college but just tore his ACL on top of that.

Traded up to get him in Dynasty Rookie Draft. Not even sure if I want to Taxi him, if there are other high-round talents waiting to get a chance. If it's an ACL, best case is MAYBE he competes for the job in 2011 and will always be a Ronnie-Brown-Season-Ending-Injury waiting to happen?

I can stash him on my IR spot for the year (though that could be tough if/when a player on my roster gets hurt). There are some decent enough free agent Safeties and LBs still out there I can pick up to replace who I traded away....Goldson, Richard Marshall, Daryl Washington, Stewart Bradley, Mikell, D Landry, Brackett, EJ Henderson, Timmons....
