Moss in the 1st and Brady in 2nd? (1 Viewer)

Neutral. Moss seems safe. Brady, while not exactly right there at the top of the value charts early in the 2nd, should provide safe near-the-top of his position numbers. You'll need to find value at RB, but that's doable. I don't think it's a recipe for instant success, but I don't think it's a disaster, either. And if you love NE, it's a way to go.

High risk, high reward. Just crazy enough to work. It will basically come down to Brady's health. I like Schaub - Andre even better though at the spot you can get Shaub. Then you can go RB in the first.

Why not?

I have won three titles in my main league and Moss was the common denominator on each team. With almost every team using a RBBC it is much safer not to make picks like this than ten years ago. Now you can scoop RBs that will get you points in the 3-4-5-6 rounds.

I did this last year in a 12 team league and it blew up in my face. Maybe you will have better luck in a 10 team league, but I will never do it again.

 4400/28 and 1250/13 blew up in your face? If you could promise me those numbers from my first two picks every year, I'd sign in blood right now.

I wouldn't.

That duo killed their owners in '09 and '07 first rounds of the playoffs.

2010 looks even worse with their back-east outdoor games to finish out the fantasy season.

That just means the RBs he chose in rounds 3 and 4 crapped the bed. He shouldn't be blaming Moss and Brady.

A guy in my redraft league of 12 teams pulled this move off from the 4 spot this past weekend. I happen to like the move as I think Moss is in line for another historically big season and Brady will of course benefit from that.

It won some championships last year, especially Brady going for 260/4 and Moss getting 3 of those td's. And I think we should put less weight on the "out east" or snow factor. In the snowstorm last year against Tennessee, Brady had 6 td's until he was pulled. I would worry more about a Manning getting benched during championship week instead of Brady throwing in the snow.

Exactly. I took Moss in the first last year and Brady in the third, and they were just fine. Brian Westbrook in the 2nd round is what killed me. Granted, I still finished 3rd in both total points and the money, but had my second round pick been better, I could have won it all.
