What's the deal with the Elmer Fudd like NYC accent? It's like a sub accent of NYC. The most well known I can think of offhand is Bobby Flay.

Probably the worst example I've heard is this kid Michael Hurcomb from CBS fantasy football. "I weawy wove Matt Wyan this yearw. With Juwio back and Woddy White I think he'll be weawy, weawy goowd".

Southern for a woman is great. Southern accent when men are talking makes me hear banjos playing.

Strange how that works. The southern accent does make women hotter while it makes guys sound dumb.

The Boston/NY/NJ accent works in the opposite way for women. It makes women sound cold or tough which is not attactive. It makes guys sound cool/tough.

No. No it doesn't. It makes them sound "likafukindoosh eh"?

The city has "won" Gawker.com's ugliest accent tournament, besting the other finalist - Scranton - in a reader's poll with more than 54 percent of the vote.

The gossipy news site set up a tournament bracket pitting what it deemed the 16 ugliest city accents in the United States against one another.

Pittsburgh advanced to the finals by winning readers' votes over Atlanta, Philadelphia and Boston.

The Pittsburgh accent, an odd amalgam of southern twang and lazy East Coast diction "worsted" Scranton by a vote of 10,404 to 8.748.
