Tl;Dr finishing mowing grass and I feel a sharp pain on my hand. Look down bee.

Start walk another sharp pain on my leg. Then another, finally figure out what's going on and high tail it out of there.

Go turn on sprinkler

I have zero idea where the hive is.

Loose count has about 7 spots I was stung Just cold shower and ibuprofen? Any creams?

Luckily I'm not allergic

I got stung by a bee for the first time last year. I was attacked by a swarm—and I had something like 8 stings. I pulled the stingers out, showered and cleaned the areas really good, and then applied a triple antibiotic cream to where the stings were. I also took some benadryl in case I was allergic.

You can see them. Google bee stinger in skin.

Clean them and apply a cold pack. Take ibuprofen or somesuch.

With mine—you could see them. They were like black pins. You definitely want to remove them first if they are still in, then clean the area of the sting, and then apply whatever creams/ointments you decide to roll with ( I went with an anti-biotic cream).

This. I keep bees and their stingers are fairly large and easy to see. They can only sting once and then die. They also do not live in the ground. Yellow jackets do live in underground nests and are way more aggressive than honeybees. The6 can also sting you multiple times without dying. Benadryl helps even if you're not officially allergic as does ice.

My wife saw a u-tube video recently about yellow jackets in the ground. It said skunks like them. They took pieces of fruit and placed around the hole. The next morning the hole was dug up and yellow jackets gone. Not sure why you would want a skunk around your house or your yard dug up. Personally, I would just pour gasoline down the hole and light a match.

Barely slept. No pain but the swollen spots still itch like crazy. Popped Beny before bed, that helped for a couple hours. Dumped an entire tube of Cortizone on them the last couple days. Overall just still super big and itchy.

I'm about 36 hours in.

I think I'm going to make it

I'm not sure which of the little bastards above it was (suspect it was a wasp) but a few weeks ago I discovered a nest in the grill while switching out the LP tank. I backed away as one of them flew out to engage me. My hands were full so I was planning on setting stuff down and using my hat as defense, as you do. Well this particular soldier took the initiative and kamikazed themselves on my hand. Felt the sting, cursed his lineage and proceeded to introduce his family to Raid as I giggled maniacally in the throes of my revenge.

They had the last laugh, that sting itched for a week after and two weeks later I can still see the spot.

Pheromone is a chemical released when a yellow jacket is killed. This chemical signals to the other members of the colony that a yellowjacket has been killed. As a consequence, it will attract the other members of the colony. You might think that you can solve the problem by killing the yellow jackets, but in turn, make the situation worse. Yellowjackets collectively protect their nest and queen. When someone is a threat to them, they can invite others to defend their nest.

Yes, take Zyrtec or Claritin along with topical steroid cream and it'll get better eventually. Don't scratch them. It releases more histamine, which makes it itch more AND it's more likely to get infected.

I had a yellowjacket nest in my yard last year. I nuked it a couple times and thought I had killed them all. A few weeks later something dug up the nest. I've never seen on smelled a skunk in my neighborhood, but thanks anonymous critter.

Hand is way more swollen but itches a little less.
One on each calf, more swollen hard as a rock and itching more.
The 4 on my hips and thighs - less swollen and less itchy.
