Downloaded this a few days ago. Gonna take a few nights to get through it. Heard it's great and kind of underrated as far as DeNiro movies go.
It’s worth the investment IMO - just make sure you watch the full length version, not the neutered/watered down one.

As good as DeNiro is in it, James Woods is even better IMO.

One of the few I am unfamiliar with.

Found two reviews. They do not agree:

Rotten to the core.

With a long run of films of this genre being genuinely awful, it's refreshing to see something new and exciting that brings promise to the gangster flick.

Great Fritz Lang crime trio there, he is the godfather of the crime genre. You could also include another trio of his: Dr. Mabuse the Gambler, The Big Heat and The Woman in the Window.

Yeah, I took a class just on Fritz Lang films in college. Really like The Big Heat and The Woman in the Window as well. Mabuse the Gambler feels more dated to me. Shout out to another crime movie of his, Clash by Night with Barbara Stanwyck and a very young Marilyn Monroe. My favorite Lang film is Destiny.

Cool class. I totally agree that the original Mabuse is so long as well- it's very dated. However, I did find it interesting and there were parts of it I really liked. It's more significant for it's influence and originality than for being a movie people should see at this point. Good call on Clash By Night. While the City Sleeps is also good.

I love that show but I don't like the new daughter on the re-boot.
