not sure I agree. Denver just signed Clady to a long-term deal, Orlando Franklin has performed very well at RT, and swing tackle Chris Clark is one of the better backup OTs in the league and also received a contract extension.
Don't forget OT, ILB and DE. Actually it would be a lot easier to list the positions the Steelers don't need to draft: quarterback, place kicker and long snapper.Steelers:
Safety
Nose Tackle
Cornerback
Punter
Tight End
Left Guard
Wide Receiver (Tall, preferably)

I never expected much development after his rookie year. I think he is what he'll always be at this point -- an average to low-end starter. Are you giving up on Dalton developing already?Bengals: QB
QB is one of the last things the Bengals need to worry about upgrading.I never expected much development after his rookie year. I think he is what he'll always be at this point -- an average to low-end starter. Are you giving up on Dalton developing already?Bengals: QB
It would be a luxury pick, but frankly one the Bengals can afford if anyone can. I don't think they'll actually consider QB in the 1st, but if one of the 2nd tier QBs is there in the 2nd or 3rd I would understand taking him for competition and flexibility. I could see them liking either Carr or McCarron as a #2 for now.QB is one of the last things the Bengals need to worry about upgrading.I never expected much development after his rookie year. Jets have bigger needs than TE (like safety or OG). Not that they couldn' use a TE, but Jeff Cumberland and Zach Sudfeld are decent young options for the time being.NY Jets - WR, TE
I get what you guys are saying, but having even an above average QB is a huge advantage in today's NFL.It would be a luxury pick, but frankly one the Bengals can afford if anyone can. Obviously, the bigger point is what to do with Dalton next year. He's too good to cast off, but is he too bad for a starting QB mega-deal? The Bengals have a Flacco type problem where they're going to have to make a decision because if they won't pay him big money plenty of teams are desperate at QB when he hits the market soon.
They need some play makers on offense. Cumberland is just a guy (well, maybe a little more) and Sudfeld is a cast-off UDFA.Jets have bigger needs than TE (like safety or OG). So you would give Dalton a Stafford/Flacco type contract and let some of the other guys walk, right? I might as well, I just think it's a hard decision. If they don't, I think he finds someone who will.I get what you guys are saying, but having even an above average QB is a huge advantage in today's NFL.It would be a luxury pick, but frankly one the Bengals can afford if anyone can. If they don't re-up Dalton, then they're back fishing for a starting QB and hoping the next guy is better. I can't see a franchise doing that.
Well...maybe the Bengals.![]()

I don't want to hijack this into another Dalton thread, but for sure your answer to that question determines whether it makes sense to draft a QB.
Could Tyler Bray be that QB of the future? He seems to have the natural talent.Kansas City - WR, QB of the future
But he's 18th and 19th the last two years in terms of ANY/A. He's a little better in terms of NY/A but throws too many INTs. i.e. he's not above average at all today.I get what you guys are saying, but having even an above average QB is a huge advantage in today's NFL.It would be a luxury pick, but frankly one the Bengals can afford if anyone can. NT is more pressing need for Steelers than OL IMHO. McClendon is not getting job done effectively enough.Jacksonville - QB, CB
Minnesota - QB, LB
Houston - QB, LB
Atlanta - DE, OL
Tampa Bay - DE, TE
St. Louis - OL, Safety, WR
Buffalo - LB, WR
Pittsburgh - DB, OL
Baltimore - LB, DB
Cleveland - QB, WR
Tennessee - DT, DB
Oakland - DE, QB
San Diego - OT, LB
NY Giants - OT, LB
Green Bay - LB, DB
Miami - OT, OG
Dallas - DLine, OLine
Chicago - Defense
Arizona - QB, OL
NY Jets - WR, TE
Philadelphia - OLB, DB
Detroit - DB, WR2
San Francisco - WR, DB
Cincinnati - LB, DB
New England - TE, DL
Carolina - WR, OL
New Orleans - DB, Defensive front 7
Kansas City - WR, QB of the future
Denver - DB, OLine depth
Seattle - OLine, WR
Bray has some warts, but the combo of being 21 years old, getting to sit for a couple years, and being mentored by Reid and a QB like Smith that gets it done with brains instead of raw talent makes him the best non-starting QB prospect right now IMO. Actually Bray and Osweiler -- who's in an almost identical situation.Could Tyler Bray be that QB of the future? He seems to have the natural talent.Kansas City - WR, QB of the future

Given that he was an UDFA, it's a long shot but it's possible, I suppose.Could Tyler Bray be that QB of the future? He seems to have the natural talent.Kansas City - WR, QB of the future
And? That's both a function of his arm strength and the style of offense. I'll give you the too many INT's.But he's 18th and 19th the last two years in terms of ANY/A. He's a little better in terms of NY/A but throws too many INTs. i.e. he's not above average at all today.

I think the Vikings need another DT before linebacker...I still think Mauti will start in the middle next year. They do need to draft linebacker but need a fat DT to put alongside Floyd.Jacksonville - QB, CB

That would help. I keep forgetting about Mauti. Apparently so does Frazier.I think the Vikings need another DT before linebacker...I still think Mauti will start in the middle next year. They do need to draft linebacker but need a fat DT to put alongside Floyd.
