1.11 - Alexander - I think 3 years is accurate, do you let him fall any more past the eleventh??

2.02 - Rudi - couldnt pass up 1200+ and 12 TDs

3.11 - TO - Great physical shape ,plays like he is 25.(missed peyton by 1)

4.02 - Lee Evans - Young and talented. I think Buffalo puts up 8 wins too.

youth goes to early in dynasty. I will not pass up a solid/good vet who has 3 solid years left in him for potential youth

I probably wouldn't have taken Alexander...but I think he's done. If you think he's got 3 years left then by all means. I don't think Rudi has much more than 3 years either.

but i think i wouldnt have been able to live with myself to pass him up for someone like drew or peterson who may only get 50% of the total touches this year. you cant start off a dynasty league preparing for the 2nd year, in my opinion

that's a weird thing to think is relevant.

kind of goes hand in hand with everything buffallo this year. not many people expect them to be to good and i see that echoed in fantasy rankings too. I think lynch and evans and losman are going to have really really good years.

Both Alexander & Rudi are nice picks for this year they both have alot of mileage on them. While in any league the goal is to win as soon as possible I think you're in big trouble at RB in 2 years unless you strike gold in the later rounds.

Love the Lee Evans pick in the 4th. You got one of the best young WR's in the game.

I think if I were drafting my first four picks would've been Portis, Peterson, Colston & Evans. Guys that can produce this year but are also young enough to carry a team for a long time.

Good luck this year.

Unless your scoring system severly minimizes the QB impact, that was way too low for Manning.

I also agree with the APeterson before Rudi Johnson comments.

Solid team you have.

If this league is PPR and you can start 3 WR, I probably would have gone ADP, Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson and Lee Evans, and with a little luck take Michael Turner and a franchise QB with your next picks - and if your team struggles this year, you get a high pick in next year's draft and dominate your league for years.

If there isn't a huge QB run, and seeing that Peyton lasted until 3.10, I'd love to see Palmer, Brady, Brees, or Bulger at pick 5.10 for you. I doubt Palmer or Brady will be there, but Brees or Bulger may slide. If you can get even 2 years out of SA, Rudi, and TO, you should be competing for the trophy. After that, you'll be in rebuilding mode. I think like you do - even in a dynasty, the most important year is the current year. I have faith in my ability to pick young sleepers, so I don't get worried when drafting an aging squad. I would certainly be looking to nab Kenny Irons, as I think he has the capability to take over for Rudi and become a full-time RB. I noticed Marvin Harrison hasn't been picked yet. Your league really does undervalue the aging studs. Capitalize on that, and keep loading up on old fogies with a few years left in the tank. Gonzo, Ahman, and/or Jamal may even fall to you at 7.10.

so peterson is the man heading into this year? he is going to get the majority of the load you think out of the gates?

Is TO in great physical shape? Seems like he is nicked up often. His age and potential head case problems would scare me away. With Alexander on board, I would have gambled more with my second pick... Say Peterson. I also would've grabbed one of the two guys sandwiched between your 3rd and 4th picks instead of Owens... Colston or Calvin Johnson. The difference is I'm looking past this season while still trying to be competitive this season as well.Depending on the scoring system, I might be thinking Carson Palmer or maybe Brees instead of Evans...After 4 rounds: Alexander, Peterson, Calvin, Evans... not bad.

I doubt either Rudi or Alexander will be starting in 2009. I think you get 2 good years out of Alexander and hopefully that from Rudi. I would have went with more youth myself, but to each their own.

Some owners play to win each year; others play to lose.

Everyone thinks they'll draft that rookie stud. Most people are wrong.

Honestly, I think you completely missed the boat by not picking one of these guys in your 1st 2 picks. Portis falling to 2.08 in a dynasty league is complete robbery for The Pack. So The Pack gets to start his dynasty team with Gore/Portis and you with SA/Rudi? Does this really sound like a good thing for your team to you?

Am I the only one that cringed when I saw a dynasty league starting with a snake draft?

I like Steel card's team so far. LT2 plus Henry is a killer backfield for the next few years.

In a startup dynasty? There is plenty of opportunity to gamble on greatness early and fill your roster later on. I'll take my chances on a long, productive career from Calvin Johnson.

Nope, its that time of year where AC posts show up here with regularity.

In isolation, those picks are fine.

Combined, they make you too old. You'll be revamping this team in one year IMO.

2.08 The Pack Portis, Clinton WAS RB 5:02:52 p.m.

???Portis is worth that risk IMO. He was 9th in PPG last season, 7th the year before. Age is a bigger indicator of dropoff than number of carries... I think people are writing him off too early. Yeah, Betts will take carries, but there's plenty of room for both guys in the short term, and if Portis can stay healthy, I'd guess that he'll pick up more and more carries as the year goes on.

Sorry I wasn't clear there. my response was due to Portis being selected after Jacobs.

Ah, I see... yeah, I'd trade Jacobs for Portis in a heartbeat, and maybe throw in a draft pick just so the thing wouldn't get vetoed.
