My Stock Value Strategy Starts Now (2 Viewers)

Someone talk me out of buying FAZ for a quick hit......
Whenever I start to consider betting on FAZ, I will forever remind myself of this quote from Vegas Vacation:"Here's an idea: Why don't you give me half the money you were gonna to bet, then we'll go out back, I'll kick you in the nuts, and we'll call it a day! "

I go back to the 2-day event a few weeks ago when FAZ was down big on a market up day and then the next day FAZ was down again on a market down day.

FEED once again on the list for leaders in small cap volume in pre-market today. Bid/Ask is right around the next resistence level. I'm hoping for a very good day today.

:goodposting:

I'm playing with free house money right now, but only have 300 shares. I'm itching to pour some more into HEB. Someone talk me out of it.

I have order in PRGN at $5.30 (was out yesterday at $5.56).

Ill play this sucker up and down all night long, baby. Once q2 earnings gets closer Ill hold for the big jump.

And XOMA might becoming the next chase the MM biotech play today.
What are you thoughts on XOMA now that they announced $12M of new financing. Looks like they are selling 10M shares at $1.15, with warrants 6 months down the road at $1.30.Stock is down from 1.18 to 1.01 today on the news. This seems like an opportunity to get in based on the assumption that the investor buying at $1.15 presumably has some info that the stock is worth at least $1.15.

Re: DRYS

Look at the chart below -- draw a trend line along the lows. That's where we are now. Also, we are about to bounce of the 50-day moving average, which has provided support multiple times in the past. There's two good reasons to think we have support right here around 7 bucks, and that this is a great time to buy DRYS (TA-wise anyway).

I might agree with that except the biopharms haven't been playing that way. This company is a ways out from any approvals. These companies have been pulling back pretty significantly after the insane runups on committee and conference news, especially with dilutions.I think the way to play them is probably getting in nearer approval dates and hitting the runs then.Had they not announced the dilution, I think it'd have stayed in the 1.40 range it was at aftermarket and premarket this morning.

Its no less of a gamble today at $4+ than it was yesterday at $3.
That's not right. The trade carries significantly more risk now than it did yesterday. 33%+ more risk with the same promise. That's not to say you should or shouldn't do the trade...just that the gamble is much bigger today than it was yesterday...and much much bigger than it was a few days ago.

The people who took some profits and now sit with a cost basis of $0.00. THAT is the way to play these kind of grand slams/strike out opportunities. Because you hold a free lottery ticket. Which opens the door to find more high risk/high return opportunities.

Pretty sure we're saying the same thing. Sorry for the double negative.

No biggie...don't you hold a HEB lottery ticket...congrats.

This is a FAZ free zone sir. Any more talk about said stock will get you banned.
Im sorry. Everyone keeps predicting a market correction and it is starting to taint me. The Bull wont slow down.
Thanks for talking me out of FAZ would have been up 5,000*.26 =$1,300 right now.
Farve Co. to the white courtesy phone.

Im just joking around. I know that devil-stock is never good to be involved in. Even if I made a quick hit Id be liekly to try again and get my ### handed to me.

I don't know what it is about DRYS, but I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling about this company. PRGN is geting back to the mid $5.30's. Might be time to buy a dip for a little.

That would just get you fascinated with attempting another FAZ trade of which would likely turn into a bigger loss. (Not that I don't plan on trying FAZ again myself).

STop losses triggering on HEB now.
:lmao: guessing we didn't get approved.
No news yet. Pretty common for someone to see a bunch of stop losses lined up and walk the price down to trigger them and then a massive chain reaction happens. This happened to HEB once before, I was in at 1.16 and it got up around 2 then shot back down to the 1.40 range before climbing. If you are going to put a stop loss on, make it hidden.

How does one "hide" the stop loss?Teach this grasshopper please.

You should have that option through your trading platform. It's a selectable option with ETrade.

I liked HEB gamble @ 1.50 a lot better than at 3 and 4 bucks a share.

I'm glad I sold some shares and playing with house money. Most of us should have been in at under 2 bucks. I think that's the smart move on this one.
