Tempted to get back into some HEB after selling my micro-lot during last week's run-up ...

Things are ugly right now. Market has turned over and the USD index has rallied back to over a 79 handle. VIX is up 5% to over a 25 handle.

For the first time in a while, I'm considering selling it all and standing by.

Im also feeling a little dip coming. Great timing with shippers going to be reporting. Im gonna hang tough with PRGN and might actually add to my position. I have 10,000 right now and might get back up to 15,000.

Well - I split the difference with my mind and my heart. I just sold half my PRGN. I now own 2,900 of PRGN @ $3.43. Figure this way I most likely come out a winner on the trade and I still have enough skin in the game that if it runs to $5 I won't want to hang myself.I might sell off half of my Emerging Market position in my 401K at the bell and lock in profits there. It's been a great run it would be a shame to flush it all away."I've made a lot of money selling stocks to early"

I'm on the fence between selling half of my shippers and adding more until we see how the earnings for the shippers shake out. If they come in as high as some people here predict, they have a lot of upside even if the general market starts to slip, at least in the near term.

So I started posting Emini futs trades on the twitter account last week on 7/22.

Since that time I've had 49 trades. 35 have been winners (or breakeven)...so a win rate of about 70%.

In the summer I typically trade small lots (1-3 contracts). And I typically stick to one index (Nasdaq for more than 1 year). But lately I've been trading all 3 indexes (Nasdaq (NQ), SP500 (ES), and Dow (YM)). Doing so is far superior because I can get a better feeling for each trade in relation to the others. This has enabled me to pick fantastic exit spots for the trades.

If you followed you'd notice that every entry and exit had better fills...so I never bought the exact bottom or sold at the top. Someone following along could have not only matched my trades but done better than me. I also have tried to give exit points soon after the trade was executed.

Margin on Emini futs contracts is about $2000 per. So a trader following along would have needed an account of about $10k to match my trades.

So what have the results been.

Since 7/22..profits have been approx: $2850.00 (minus a couple $100 for commission). Not bad for 4.5 days on lots of 1-2 contracts per trade).

I have some issues with using twitter. First of all...the time stamp is "About"...I want it stamped to the minute/second...because "approximately" doesn't cut it in day-trading futures. Also...there are only a few "followers"...I culled some of the herd because it seemed like they were (for lack of a better term) twitter-mining.

So if you are one of the few following along...and know of a way to time stamp the posts...that would be great...please PM me. In addition there is no 2-way communication. The point is trying to help people understand the hows, whys and psychology of trading (from one traders perspective). Otherwise the whole twitter "experiment" seems like an exercise of "Look at ME"...it's not helpful to anyone nor does it portray the image I want to send out about my personal trading style and company.

Anyways...if you have followed I hope it has been somewhat edutaining.

I know you want to do it real time, but even posting here after the fact gives a lot of us here a chance to learn in something many of us know very little about.

This morning I had 1.14MM shares of EXPH. I sold 1/3 at the open at .021 because I need cash to cover expenses and I also felt the share price would temporarily drop due to the gap up. I told myself not to let a shake out rid me of my other 2/3. Well I'm a big fat chicken because the stock tanked and tanked and tanked and I finally ended up selling at .015, thinking the thing was headed back for double zeroes. I bought 500M back at .0185, which equates to free shares, and I'm not going to look at the stock price anymore. I love this as a long term investment. I don't have the stomach however to watch it too much.

I am so tempted to jump back into HEB, someone please talk me off the ledge.

Looks like we have a boatload of shares to get through to move up past 1.92 on FREE.
yes this is going to be like this for a little while. Many people just got shares at 1.81 to 1.85 like me. Also some institution bought out the $1.80 shares and they could be releasing into the market too. I think we are going to have a week like this where this just holds between 1.90 and 2.00. I expect once we hit August though this will start inching up on the fundamentals.

Najeh are you watching EXPH? LJ did you buy in right away like you were thinking?
Woke up too late. :deadbanana:SRSR going through another crazy day. BIEL with another nice gain. Thinking about taking a swing position in CNB.EDIT: NVM. CNB has earnings after the bell. I'll pass.
The play the past couple days in SRSR is buy early and just sell it late. I'm still in mine at $.165.
Boy this one's getting rough. I'm never in the game if I don't open up with a 20% dip. Otis and I seem to have the same touch. :sadbanana:

No real clue. The past few trading days it opens weaker to make a runup starting just after lunch through the rest of the day.

needed to free up some cash,

out of ECH @ 46.20 (in @ 45.10)

out of SEA @ 12.90 (in @ 10.90)

finally in the black (green?) in my E*trade account

Finally got out from under my FEED shares at 6.55. I had held all the way from the middle of June (at around 6.35 mark), through the low of 4.36, and back up into the green. I'm just happy to free up the money there so I can cost average out of my PRGN and CHK holdings, which are both solidly in the red.

Out free and aclsIn 20000 SRSR. Let's play
I'm going to keep acls a while longer. Joined in on Heb@2.33, 500 shares. Wanted it at 2.10 or cheaper and will buy on a drop of 10 cents or more. EXPH @ .0160. 40000 shares.
Yea. I still like acls. Just needed the funds to try and make a quick buck. I have a feeling srsr will pop or some very bad news will be coming out. Either way it will be big.

Well it was suggested that I just put a "time stamp" on the posts. I did that for the rest of the day...on every trade...so those can be validated by just looking at a chart of those Futs. It should provide some validity to the posts. All in all a good day. Total profit was just under $900...amount from my account needed to make this profit today was about $5k...which shows the power (and seduction) of trading emini futures.EDIT: I stepped away at the end of the day...but came back and looked at some of the trades today. WOW! I was hitting perfect exits. For example in the last trade I was short the NQ at 1599.5...and called for an exit with profits of 5-10 pts. When I do that I set the exit at the 5 pt out...as in futs trade it is first order in...first order executed. And only if the market begin to pick up momentum and it looks like i can get more do I change that order. Well after flat-lining for a while the NQ traded down and my order filled at 1594.5...a 5 pt profit. But the low of that trend was 1594.25. (just 1/4 pt difference from my out) Essentially for this trade it was a perfect out. How can I explain that? How did I know from my open that it would go 5 pts? Am I just that good? The answer is...no I'm not that good...but for whatever reason...right now I'm in sync with the market. That accounts for a lot...because there are times I'm completely out of sync. But if you want the real answer...a lot of it is due to luck. Dodds: I apologize for posting this stuff here as it is slightly off topic to the original thread about your trades...but doing so keeps me sharp...if you want maybe I could just resurrect my old thread "turn $5k into $20k...and keep stocks separate from futs. BTW: ou've done an outstanding job this year!

Boy, the action in SRSR is damn strange. Last week we run to 21cents on no news, and now we have some very positive news and this thing retraces. From a technical perspective, this was way overbougt and due for a correction- but the news should have stopped this from happening. I'll try to find and post the valuation estimates from iHub, but as it stands, this company has a significantly greater amount of potential compared to last week and should be valued in the 40's. I'm throwing 5k more in the 12's but at some point, I'm gonna run out of cash. This is a pretty scary move.

Well today's drop in commodities really shows a correction is underway there. So the top I called in that regard is correct. We'll have to see if stocks really decouple or fall with them. The correction should be over several weeks, possibly several months. I probably won't have anything to add for a while. We'll just see where the bottom is. Good luck.

Added 1,000,000 SYMW @ .0015

Reminds me of EXPH in that it's a penny that looks like a real company and not a scam. We'll see how this plays out.

You haven't been right in a couple of years, you didn't call anything correct here.

Michael Bodouroglou CEO Paragon Shipping

Just thought it would be a good idea to make a post where we can post to show my appreciation for one of the greatest humans to ever grace this planet.

Also i'll try to find his email and link him to this appreciation thread to show him we supported him through thick and thin.

- Michael, not only have you made me money, you have also made me a better human being by making shipping dry goods less intrusive/more reliable/and more efficient for the entire world.

When i listen to your conferences i hear a man with great conviction who is looking to make the world a better place with Paragon. For that we are all grateful.

They say there are less then 3 moments that truly impacts ones life, and i truly believe the moment I bought Paragon will be one of them for me and many others...and for that we thank you Mr Bodouroglo.

Just read a post in the Google forum saying that the whole dilution process is still in play holding this stock to 4.50 or so....Didn't a few posters here figure we were past that already?:waitingtopulltrigger:
