10 inches of rain is a lot for any area. And the SPC has said that tornadoes aren't out of the question for most of the CA coast.

I don't live in those areas thankfully. Close though... My mom who lives in Seattle is telling me not to go out today. Um, you go out all the time in this type of weather!

Good idea. I'm sure the food worker's union at SFO has the upper hand right about now as passengers stranded there are without food and drink unless they brought their own.. Great timing for them to strike!
LA is due for rain tomorrow though it's not going to be like this. Definitely check for delays.

I didn't know we should be comparing the storm to what other states can see. Seems like it would make more sense to look at your own state's records to determine what is out of the norm.So pretty much a normal rain storm in the southeast?

Our state is so dry.. we're in record droughts! Our state is so wet...we're having a strong rain storm (for many areas) but we're acting like the world is ending
Can we say the same thing about the Northeast every time they ##### about having a snow storm? I mean doesn't that happen 2 or 3 times EVERY year? Shouldn't they be ready for it by now?
