Creepy or cool?

Video shows the woman propped up at a table, with shades, cigarette and Busch beer.

A New Orleans woman received an unorthodox funeral that included Busch beer, menthol cigarettes and disco lights, WGNO reports.

Miriam "Mae Mae" Burbank was a lively, "life of the party" type of woman, according to her family.

So it was only fitting that her funeral service be the "last party" she will have on this Earth.

Burbank's family helped stage her body seated in front of a table decorated with a beer can, menthols, a crossword puzzle book and miniature New Orleans Saints helmets -- basically, all of her favorite things.

Burbank was dressed in black, wearing a golden scarf and a yellow coursage. She was holding a cigarette in one hand and a wine glass filled with beer in the other.

Her fingernails were even painted black and gold, in support of her favorite NFL team.

Family members told WGNO that it was a fitting sendoff

SO this brings up an interesting point....what would you be doing if you had a funeral like this. Id be propped up in a gym surrounded by equipment ...or sitting in a recliner watching football .

My grandmother used to tell stories about the wakes she went to as a child. This was pretty much SOP. Not at all unusual in her childhood experience.

I like it. If you're going to have a ceremony, do it right like this. Told my wife last night that I don't even want any sort of service. If you had anything to say, you should have already said it. This would be a decent alternative.

A bowling alley bar I went to years ago used to do this to a drunk who would pass out sitting straight up. They would prop up pool sticks around his stool and then wake him up.

I have often told my wife I don't want no crying sad ### funeral. I don't want anyone wailing about what a saint I was or any of that crap. I wasn't and it's too late for all that. I would much rather they did whatever was cheapest with my body, including donate it to science, and have a party instead. Celebrate and remember the various funny, stupid things I did.
