The projections are off even if you just go by those 7 games. For example, Holcomb threw 8 TDs in those 7 games. That projects out to just over 18 TDs, not 24. The other projections are off too.
Was about to add that he had 1298 yds. passing in 7 games which only projects to 2966 in 16 games, not 3400.
Actually, I only projected the stats from the 6 full games that he played (omitting the Week 10 game where he was injured after 1 quarter).Holcomb had 9 TDs and 4 INTs in the 6 full games that he started (including 1 rushing TD). Projected over 16 games and you get 24 TDs and 11 INTs.
Students of statistics will warn you about extrapolating information from too small of a sample size. I don't think 6 games is enough to start a "if you pro-rate his stats over a 16 game season" thread over... but that may just be me.

I'm not a student of statistics. :nerd: I just noticed Holcomb's stats (9 TDs in 6 full games) and was impressed. I don't think any other "backup QB" (except possibly Josh McCown) has performed so well this season.

Since you're counting rushing TD's, Garrard has 7 TD's and only 1 Int in 5 games. That would project out to 22 TD's and 3 Int's over 16 games. He also projects to have 3,165 yds passing and 550 yds rushing through 16 games. That's a pretty good season. In contrast, if you take the 13 games where Michael Vick has played a whole game and project his stats over 16 games he would have 25 TD's, 15 Int's, 2,767 passing yds and 663 rushing yds. Hmm....

Think about the question. 24td's 11 int's. How the hell could it be a RB or WR. It is obviously a QB. my initial guess was Brad Johnson. Could be Drew Breese, Hasstlebeck?if were talking NCAA I'd say Leinart or Brady Quin

I didn't think I'd ever see it, but this thread is worse than the original "guess who" Tiki Barber HOF thread...

Did a calculation of the passer rating of all the players in the NFL this year.

Since passer rating scales the same when extrapolating over a full season, this should be valid.

Here are the top QB ratings this season:

Anwaan Randle El 158.3333

LaDainian Tomlinson 153.125

Clinton Portis 118.75
People think Jason Campbell will replace Brunell but they're wrong. Portis will. :bag:

As a Bills fan, the pending Losman/Holcomb debate will bring back terrible memories of Flutie/Johnson from just a few years ago. The coaches could have prevented this by either living with JP (hey, how much worse could they have been this year), or by giving him another year to mature with a clipboard. Their worst possible move was what they did.
