Name two bands with mutually... (mods hard delete asap) (1 Viewer)

While not mutually exclusive, one of the oddest concert pairings I have seen was .38 Special and Bon Jovi in Charlotte NC in the 80's
Less than Jake opened for Bon Jovi. That's an odd pairing.
I saw the black crowea open for heart in 89.
I think I can top them both. Violent Femmes opening for the Grateful Dead in 1991. Let's just say I loved the Femmes when I was in middle school, but they're not exactly "acid-worthy."
The all-time classic in this category of course is Hendrix opening for the Monkees.

Saw them together in Omaha. '86 I believe. Tickets were about $20 if I remember correctly.
One of the oddest of all time has to be Jimi Hendrix opening for the Monkees
I saw Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam open a triple bill with Squeeze and David Bowie in the late 80s at Giants Stadium.
Saw the Fabulous Thunderbirds open for Rush. Bizarre.
