*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (4 Viewers)

Is there a less athletic lineup in the league than the one the Wiz roll out with Pierce, Gooden, and Andre Miller?
Got to be some contenders in Brooklyn and Indiana, though I don't know how their lineups break down. Hibbert and Scola would seem to be a good start.

I want to know what Flip Saunders said to Kevin Martin this offseason that got him to start playing defense. He's no world beater, but he actually tries now.

I've got a pretty decent stream of the Bulls - Wolves game, if you're also not able to watch it on LeaguePass. PM me for the link if you want.

Slight free throw discrepancy in Orlando. Toronto with 36 38 attempts, Orlando with 13 at the end of 3.

Plus Orlando is below 50% from the stripe. It's going to be a long year.
Moar lottery pickz
Payton looked good tonight though. The Magic pretty safely have 3/5 of a decent lineup:

PG: Payton

SG: Oladipo

C: Vucevic

Hopefully Aaron Gordon works out and Tobias finds a role. One more high pick and a new coach (desperately needed) and they're in business.

Tough Hornet loss, but Al is so fun to watch. Sucks he has to carry such a huge load offensively. That's unfair for anybody not named Kendrick.

Unless I missed an injury, it's scary for Lance to get benched for the whole 4th quarter.

Wolves are leading Bulls 97-96. Wiggins had some putrid shots in this game including an airball from about 14 feet.

Also hit one in the clutch from the top of the key too. The fundamentals are there to be great, he just needs to get consistency to his shot. His form is usually very good. Gets up real high on his jumpers and his stepback game is going to be lethal.

Timberwolves had about nine lives on that possession. Finally made a good shot after missing a bunch of bad ones.

What an ending to Bulls/Wolves. Bulls pull it out.

Butler looks vastly improved (more aggresive) offensively. Good move to bet on himself in free agency as well. Especially when someone like Parsons is seeing $15 mil/yr. Mirotic may not see a bunch of minutes when Gibson/Noah/Gasol healthy, but he's definitely going to be a very good player. One or two of Noah/Gasol/Gibson are guaranteed to miss time this year.

Golden State looks lethargic against the Lakers. They seem to be defining "playing down to your opponent".
Lakers had an improbable 10 point lead, had to bring Kobe in to ensure tank stays in tact. Pretty sure they have not scored or stooped GS on a possession since.
If they want to tank, they should trade Bryant to the Knicks.
They have to be subtle about it. Kobe sells tickets.

:lmao: Kobe 28 points....on 28 shots. 7 turnovers. 1 assist (-28). And just getting abused by Klay who goes for 41 on 18 shots. Comedy gold. Too bad he didn't take a team friendly career ending deal. Then he may have been able to get dealt when he inevitably blames everyone else on the Lakers for the team's failures.

0-4. Does this team win 10 games?

He was more concerned with getting lots of money so the owners wouldn't get one over on him than taking a deal that would allow them to get some good free agents.

Then again, no one wants to play with his ball-hogging ###, and he probably knows that, so he probably figured he might as well get as much money while he can, while focusing on his main goal of passing Jordan on the list of all-time points scored (which he still hasn't done despite playing nearly 200 more games now than MJ did  ).
