*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (4 Viewers)

When Charlotte clearly picked Biyambo (with Sacto's pick, give him a Kings hat), and now Bucks pick Jimmer with Sacto's pick (but say Milwaukee is picking him), what is the point of the confusion??

I can't believe Fredette went top 10.
Seems about right to me. We know he can score, and he's a decent enough ball handler and passer to be an asset on the offensive end. The guy has unlimited range. Defense is a question mark, but again, who do you take at this point in the draft?
Now that I think about it, he's not a liability until the playoffs..He can probably single-handedly get you 7-7.5 wins

Congrats Kyrie! Its great to see a highly rated and talented young player who's not scared to go to the NBA. I'm looking and laughing at you Harry Barnes.

I think being able to play zone in the NBA now helps Jimmer out a bit. He's probably more of a role player, but role players are important. I think Jimmer's athletic ability is underrated as well. Most people see a white guy and automatically assume that he's a statue. I don't see him as a guaranteed starter, but I think he can be an extremely nice 6th - 7th man.

For the Cavs fans that complain about the pick, Im guessing no one really wanted to trade up. When before the draft theyre talking about Kemba going 17th, why trade up?!These Euros usually hit 1 in every 5. Be happy you picked the black canadian!
Agreed, except I'd put the Euro hit rate at 1 in 50.
You guys need to view some old drafts. Unless, perhaps, you define "hit" differently than I do.
So more like 1 in 100?
It seems like about 1/2 have been good or decent picks in the last four or five years... Beaubois, Gallinari, Batum, etc. We're yet to be able to judge some such as, most notably, Rubio.

I don't see him as a statue, but he's one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. Maybe its partly because he had to carry the whole offense, but he might as well have sat on the bench when the ball was at the opponent's end.

I agree that he needs work on the defensive end, but if you have decent enough athletic ability, which I think Jimmer does, then it's just a matter of listening to the coaches and working hard. He'll never be a great defensive player, but I think he possesses enough athletic ability to be serviceable. For the record, I'm not a Jimmer fan boy.
