*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (3 Viewers)

All-NBA teams announced. Griffin on the second team is probably the only thing that constitutes a surprise. It's gotta suck to be Kevin Love (well not really, but you know what I mean). He may never make the first team.
I love Blake, but I'm not sure he's a top 5 Forward.
Yeah. I'm not trying to knock him as it's only his second season playing but I don't think I'd put him on the ballot at all.

Maybe in coming years LeBron gets in as a "guard" to make room for a Durant/Love forward position? I always thought it was similar to the All-Star game where they kind of fudge positions for selections sometimes...I think it's laughable the Blake Griffin makes 2nd team over guys like Dirk, DeMarcus Cousins, Josh Smith, and LaMarcus Aldridge. Dirk's better offensively and Griffin's really not any better on defense...Cousins is a much better rebounder, comparable scorer, and dramatically better on defense...Smith is comparable in rebounding and scoring but dramatically better on defense...

Don't really get it.

Josh Smith is the guy who in my opinion got sorta screwed. I would have probably picked him over Melo, Dirk, and Griffin.

As bad as the 1st half of last night's game was, the ESPN radio call of it was the worst radio play by play I've ever heard. Jack Ramsey and the other guy - I can't really describe how bad it was. Not only did they cover about 1/3 of what was going on in the game, it was like they were having a contest to see who could form thoughts and speak them the slowest. They made John Ireland sound like Chick Hearn.
id enjoy listening to jack ramsey and beano cook call a marathon of games.if beano's still alive.

I know a lot of people were crapping on the Sixers-Celtics game as an ugly game, but I think this one is the ugly one. I don't think anyone is even bothering to play defense, just seems like the Sixers-Celtics game had almost every shot contested and you had to earn your points, this one looks like a shoot-around

Seriously, how overrated is Dwayne Wade? At what point does he start catching major heat for the Heat underachieving? Does he get a pass cause he already has a ring, one he only got cause Stern bent Dallas over back in '06?
I don't know Ghost...tell me how over rated he is tonight? Or in game 5 or in game 4.

Lol at #### talking a win over the Pacers.

Heat should waltz into the Finals but I don't see how they beat the Spurs or Thunder.

Yeah the Pacers are a lousy team.....real lousy. As far as the Spurs? The Heat can beat them....no doubt in my mind they can....with Chris Bosh. It will be tough but no doubt they can take them.Thunder.....very very tough series indeed, and it will be a monster challenge. Durant vs Lebron and Westbrook vs Wade....sick match ups. Titles do not come easy......ever.And why should I not be talking ####......everyone loves to pile on when they lose.....people wrote them off when they went down 2-1....then they reel off 3 straight....and they are missing a major piece of the puzzle.BTW The Pacers were the 3 seed....not an 8th seed not a 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th. They are a very good basketball team. They played tough and had a window to take us out but the measure of a great team is to overcome adversity. The Heat answered the bell.

I think it was you last year who did this same crap and then ran and hid after the Finals. Planning an encore?

Do I need to go back a few pages and link to the post where I laughed at everyone thinking the Heat were going to lose to Indiana after they went down 2-1?

Watching everything in the post game/sportscenter espn broadcasting after the Heat victory... the Celtics appear to have already won Saturdays game 7 against the Sixers. :kicksrock:

Yes please. And while you're there, be sure you bump all those super-dumb trade posts you make that a 12-year-old would blush at.

Pacers are a very very good young team. They're a star PG away from being a great team for years to come (JMO Deron Williams should have Indy at the top of his list)The series clearly showed the difference between stars ...and good players. Actually the last 2 postseasons have shown that with their exits.Bird's done a fantastic good with that team. I don't think Hill/Collison are the answer to get the Pacers where they want to go. (Collison's is a decent backup NBA point & think his speed is better utilized off the bench. I'd just look to deal Hill...nothing against the guy, just don't view him getting the Pacers to the next level)

No I did not hide...owned up to it.....not a little ##### like some round here.

He has been great the last 2 1/2 games, but the 2-1 series deficit they found themselves in early was largely due to his inept play. I mean, 5 points in a playoff game? Had that been Bryant or James, they would have gotten murdered by the media. Wade essentially gets a free pass since if the Heat don't win it all, most will blame James, not him.

Pacers are a decent team IMO. I don't disagree about the finals though. Especially since Bosh will likely not be 100% until he gets an offseason.

Sloan to the Bobcats would be extremely interesting, assuming they land Davis. If all those athletic kids buy in, the Cats could become relevant quickly.

It's only a 25% shot. But they'll get somebody good regardless. This draft is deep, almost every lottery team is gonna get an immediate impact player.

Could they hire a shooting coach there? Some atrocious % on that team.
Yeah, offensively challenged is an understatement. But they are in great shape for the future if they land Davis, with Biyombo set at PF and Walker as a decent G. I'd amnesty Thomas, and deal Magette (his expiring 10M deal should be an asset in a few months) and go out and get a starting PG and a starting SF. Dragic would be a target. As would Lou Williams. Nic Batum would top my list at SF if I were the Cats GM.

Ghost.....down here in South Florida.....the entire fan base wanted to trade him after that game....it was insane. His hall pass days are over. And he had his knee drained the very next day. There was obviously something very wrong with him that night....and now we know what.

That would be pretty awesome, if very unlikely.Steve Nash on the Pacers would make for a pretty intriguing team too.

Oh, I know. But you have to admit that James usually catches a lot more grief than Wade, all things being equal. Granted, he brought that on himself with the self-proclaimed moniker and The Decision and whatnot, but Wade had gotten a pass until very recently, which is funny since Wade did nothing the four years in between their '06 championship and Bosh and James coming to town, while James was dragging otherwise average Cavs teams to 60+ win seasons and deep playoff runs. Frankly, I hope the Heat win it this year so we can get it over with. ;)
