*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (3 Viewers)

OK, prediction:

The game goes back and forth the whole way until about 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter. At that point Miami takes control. They will win by a comfortable 10-12 points. LeBron will have a good, not great game. Wade will have a much better game offensively than in the last two games. Pierce and Rondo will play very well. But the key to this game will be Bosh's presence on defense; he will help to neutralize Garnett in the post.

Miami 102, Boston 90.
This prediction is starting to look pretty good.

Really, really hate when players do that strut around after a big play instead of high five'ing a teammate or something.
Wade is a doosh.
He's not the only one who does it. Pierce, LeBron and Kobe all do it for sure. I think Kobe might have started it. Maybe thats why it annoys me.
That's why Durant is loved...of the future HOFers, he's the classiest.Makes you want to root for OKC...and then there is Westbrook.

I'm tired of hearing the "tough offseason" speach RE: the Celtics. It's not like they dont have cap room if they want it and they get Jeff Green back. I dont think they will have a hard time sign KG.

Within 3 points! Pretty damn close.

:lmao: :lmao: at Miami fans being the "best and classiest" fans in the NBA. I know he has to say it, but still. Even funnier that it only generated a lukewarm response from the crowd.

These past few years have been great for the NBA. The NBA is really in a golden age right now.
Really  Since when did the 80's become the prehistoric era? Bird and Magic and Dr J and then Jordan saved the NBA from extinction.
IMHO, the number of talented teams these past few years surpasses any year from the 80s.
ya know that the detroit pistons had to beat the bird led celtics, the jordan led bulls and the magic/worthy/kareem lakers to win the title in 1989?No era can ever top that. ever

I agree, and I'll go one step further. I think if you could magically plop the '86 Celtics into these playoffs, they'd win the crown. They are the best team I've personally ever seen. MOST people disagree, and I may be off my rocker, but I'm not so sure.I keep hearing the "athleticism" argument. These players are too athletic for the '86 Celtics. That's very fair. But we're not talking about a basketball team from 1942 here. Larry Bird played on the same Olympic team with MJ. Would anyone claim that MJ in his prime wouldn't be just as great today? Of course not. 1986 was not THAT long ago.So I conceded the athleticism argument. Now tell me how any team today would account for Hall-of-Famer Larry Bird, two Hall-of-Fame twin towers, a Hall-of-Fame point guard AND a Hall-of-Fame 6th man. I don't see how anyone could dismiss their chances.
