The problem with this theory is that how would they do this without getting out? It really is the problem with any major conspiracy. There would be too many people involved to keep this a secret. What keeps an official or estranged NBA employee from writing a book and making millions?

Lebron advances. Silver has made the call.

It's amazing to me that people are either this desperate to find a way to dismiss the Heat or this ignorant of how data can be manipulated.

The fouls called numbers are basically identical in games where Dan Crawford refs and ones he doesn't. He's -0.3 for the Heat while his peers are -0.9, but only has a +1.9 FT advantage for the Heat while his peers are +2.7. Basically dead even.

What clearly happened here is small sample size issues along with obvious data manipulation (the "Dwyane Wade era?"). The guy's only called 16 Heat playoff games, at some point he called a couple Heat blowouts that knocked the PPG differential and the ATS differential a bit out of whack. There's no evidence of bias; in fact it's the opposite.
