Chicago has had multiple talks with Orlando, both about the No. 12 pick and shooting guard Arron Afflalo, and with Denver about No. 11, but a source told Sporting News that the Bulls have also engaged with the Kings in a potential deal for the No. 8 pick.


Chicago's focus in such a scenario would be Creighton star Doug McDermott, who averaged 21.7 points and shot 55.0 percent from the field (45.8 percent from the 3-point line) in four years with the Blue Jays. The Bulls also have interest in Michigan State's Gary Harris and Michigan's Nik Stauskas, who has made Chicago his home base during the draft process.

I think him and MCW will struggle to coexist more than Noel/Embiid and odds are that one of Noel/Embiid doesn't pan out. There probably weren't 100 people on campus better than Embiid at soccer. Yeah. I wouldn't mind it but I'm also not the die hard Sixers fan either. Hinkie isn't on the hot seat but seems like fans/media want to see some type of return. I guess we get to see Noel this year which is almost like getting another top 5 draft pick but using 2 top 10 picks on guys who won't see the court would probably get quite a bit of heat from the fans.

I also just looked at the 2015 lottery and there are a ton of big guys in it so I wonder if they look at that and realize they can get a top 5 C/PF next year. I guess the price to get Wiggins just went up by a lot. With Saric staying 2 years, almost feel like 3 and 10 is worth it at this point. Or there is talk that Boston wants Embiid so maybe they can trade down or get some of Brooklyn's future 1sts. Also wouldn't mind using Thad and a 2nd or two to get back into the late teens early 20's.

Giving you a little head start... The top PG prospect in the 2015 draft is Emmanuel Mudiay, who will be a freshman at SMU. It's a weird destination for a lottery pick, but his older brother plays there and Larry Brown is the coach.The top bigs are freshmen from Chicago: Cliff Alexander (Kansas; think Elton Brand with a mean streak) and Jahlil Okafor (Duke; think Al Jefferson).

Anyone ever been to a draft party that teams put on? Thinking of going over to the Hornets party with a buddy since I have Friday off and want to see if they have the new jerseys for sale...

Went to plenty of Heats draft parties....when they actually drafted players.

Was their for Glenn Rice, Steve Smith, Willie Burton, Harold Miner, and Dwayne Wade. Was also their when they took the famed Alex Kessler pick (RIP).

Always a lot of fun. The Rice Party was the best one. We knew we got a special player and him coming off that superb NCAA Tournament he played at Michigan. When we took Harold Miner the place was actually electric. Ended up being a far better virtual basketball player (the old Sega genesis EA B-Ball games) then NBA player LOL.

When we took Wade the place was going ape ####. Again we all knew we landed a special player. That was the last draft party I had ever been too. It's been so long sine we had a first rounder. Cole was a nice draft pick. But this year we have a first again. Wonder who may be there for us. Not that we draft that well.

I bet we try to draft Saric's father.

Apparently Utah upping the ante.. possible new deal is Favors, Burks, #5, #23 for #1 and Jack. Now I'm intrigued. Adding 2 good young players and 2 picks and unloading Jack's contract and penchant for shooting long 2's sounds pretty good. I've heard rumors the last month that Parker has packed on some pounds. Can't believe the Cavs would go down this road again with a 19-20 year old kid out of shape. I'd go Wiggins or Embiid whether he's in shape or not Though Irving & Parker would be some nice comedy on the defensive end.

Jabari Parker may have "tanked" his workout with the Cavs over the weekend, a source told Chad Ford of ESPN.com.

The "Sorry for Jabari" tanking storyline just took an interesting turn here. Parker reportedly came into the workout weighing in at a hefty 255 pounds, which is well above his listed playing weight of 235. CBS Sports reported that the Cavs are leaning to Parker, but maybe this will dissuade them after last year's massive letdown with out-of-shape Anthony Bennett.

And Chad Ford said that Wiggins seems more than happy to play in Cleveland. It shouldn't be much of a surprise that Cleveland would be looking for a way to botch the draft through.

Wiggins is a good kid who will play for whoever drafts him, but all reports are that he wants to play in Philadelphia and with the Sixers.

I'm starting to think the Nuggets should take the Bulls up on their offer of the 1tth for the 16th and 19th, unless somebody like Gordon or Randle falls. He was up for the head coaching job and has been an assistant in the NBA for a while now. They probably just like him.

I think Lebron is going to decline exercising his ETO, stick it out for one more year, then the Heat can look to make a move in the 2015 offseason. Next year's free agency crop is much more enticing than this year's. This season they can hope to resign Allen and Anderson on minimum deals, then find somebody who can protect the hoop for their tax payer MLE, see if they can sneak back into the finals, then figure things out a year from now.
