but I wonder if the Pelicans will be able to get away with retaining Austin Rivers while still getting Asik.
I don't think they are too concerned with this.but I wonder if the Pelicans will be able to get away with retaining Austin Rivers while still getting Asik.
I don't think they are too concerned with this. It's almost like it pays to be a billionaire.the worst part of this, imo, is that worthless putz Gilbert does not have to feel the consequences of his childish actionswhile i do understand that punishing him would unnecessarily punish the Cavs fans, i still wanted him to get his. Instead he shot his mouth off acted like a ####### and still gets his prize back.Dan Gilbert @cavsdan 36m
My 8-year-old: "Daddy, does this mean I can finally wear my Lebron jersey, again?"...Yes it does, son. Yes it does!
indeed!
#Ididn'tburnmine about to become a thing. So is he keeping his Heat jersey #6, or going back to the old Cav's jersery #23? That is the real decision.![]()
Wait, now they're talking about Wiggins for Hibbert?I don't understand why you'd trade the next big thing in Wiggins for a slightly more nimble Mark Eaton.
Not a jersey guy. Not a LeBron fan. Not a Cavs fan. Him returning is good for the city's wallet, so there's that, but otherwise - go Spurs.Get your LeBron jersey and stop being bitter. Enjoy it. What is wrong with you?eleventy billion percent he reneges and signs in Miami.Somebody put Todem on suicide watch...
I'd say he could sell more jerseys if he changes to 6, but most of the 23s were burnt anyway so it is probably a wash.So is he keeping his Heat jersey #6, or going back to the old Cav's jersery #23? That is the real decision.![]()
There's a photoshopped pic of him on his website wearing a Cavs #6 jerseySo is he keeping his Heat jersey #6, or going back to the old Cav's jersery #23? That is the real decision.![]()

I think ESPN will be okay. They got a week's worth of ratings/views out of it.I love how ESPN has been providing round-the-clock coverage of this story, only to be completely scooped by Sports Illustrated.
Even better is their confirming, through their "sources", a first-person account by LeBron himself.I love how ESPN has been providing round-the-clock coverage of this story, only to be completely scooped by Sports Illustrated.
or to win a championship with.Nearly impossible to fit under the cap.Melo to Miami with Bosh resigning. New big 3, steams through Cleveland in EC finals en route to 2015 NBA Championship.
Well with the All-Star Break coming up and the WC ending, it's going to be a full week of LeBron talk coming upI love how ESPN has been providing round-the-clock coverage of this story, only to be completely scooped by Sports Illustrated.
Uh, how? Neither would even be a playoff team in the West and likely not in the top 4 in the East.Indiana at 18/1 and Brooklyn at 40/1 are some decent bets
He should wear #236So is he keeping his Heat jersey #6, or going back to the old Cav's jersery #23? That is the real decision.![]()
Exactly. Who really cares about the scoop. Big deal, CNNSI got a story that everyone read once. Now they will go chat about it on their message boards and watch ESPN to see the reaction of all the analysts. It's big for that writer, but other than that, not a big deal.I think ESPN will be okay. It would have be to pretty nerve racking, even for a seasoned vet, to play in front of the tens of people that go to Hawks games.Still sort of amazed (any big name) to ATL isn't a thing. I think Melo to there is stronger than Melo to CHI. Do they not have room, or is ATL just that far down everyone's wishlist?
solid questions hereI don't understand why you'd trade the next big thing in Wiggins for a slightly more nimble Mark Eaton.
And how the hell can that kid's jersey from 4 years ago still fit him? Is he a Benjamin Button?
Gotcha, have not been to the website, but was assuming he would probably go with #6.From the looks of his webpage...#6. They show him in a #6 Cavs jersey with CLEVELAND 6 below it.So is he keeping his Heat jersey #6, or going back to the old Cav's jersery #23? That is the real decision.![]()
Jordan never went back to his home town elevating an entire city...Gotcha, have not been to the website, but was assuming he would probably go with #6. I would prefer a change back to #23...kind of like how Jordan changed his # to 45 for a while, before ultimately going back to #23. Guess he wants to make his own legacy though, and Jordan wore #23 best. (There is a red carpet joke in there somewhere)From the looks of his webpage...#6. Oh yeah the biggest one I have ever posted.oof.100% sure now. We would know if he was leaving Miami right now hell we would have known a week ago. Tomorrow they announce his extension along with Wade and Bosh's deals (which were already worked out I am sure). Here is what I think. Lebron would not string Pat Riley along like this. If Lebron was leaving he would have had the respect to tell Riley weeks ago so he could have made other moves for bigger ticket free agents and be able to field a team. Sorry I just can't imagine James ####s on Riley, Arison, Spo, Bosh, and Wade and the city of Miami like that after the last 4 years. Cleveland may think he #### on thembut he gave them 7 years and that owner is a putz.
Would think he's SOBE for life by now, especially if his offer is 4/60 from Miami as opposed to something like 2/25 from Chicago.Any chance Wade goes to Chicago? Does he really want to stay in Miami and win 28 games? He doesn't have much time left.
An interesting time in sports. I guess the cap contributes to it b/c he is making the same regardless of where he goes so why not keep his life in order and family happy.Still sort of amazed (any big name) to ATL isn't a thing. True. But he did leave the sport all-together for a while, which broke the hearts of many Chicago fans (myself included).Jordan never went back to his home town elevating an entire city...Gotcha, have not been to the website, but was assuming he would probably go with #6. Oh it definitely wasn't the biggest piece of garbage you posted. Just happened to be the first one I found.Oh yeah the biggest one I have ever posted.oof.100% sure now. But today is all about Cleveland. Enjoy and bask in the excitement. In the meantime I can't complain one iota. We have had Ana incredible improbable run. And now I will sit and wait to see what team I will be going to watch down at the AAA next season.
It's pretty sobering when you know the best player on the planet just left ya. It sucks but we got his prime years and I would not I've that up.
I was certain he would return. Why wouldn't I be. I love my team.
Sue me.

Can't imagine they'd have to send a pick.Wiggins and a #1 to Minnesota?
They like to party here but I don't see a big name signing here.Still sort of amazed (any big name) to ATL isn't a thing. I think Melo to there is stronger than Melo to CHI. Do they not have room, or is ATL just that far down everyone's wishlist?
Still a bargain when compared to what the Lakers are paying a broken down Kobe Bryant.Love the parting gift Heat fans will get in the next couple weeks - enjoy Wade and the 4/$60M he's about to ink!
Have to match salaries though. Can't imagine they'd have to send a pick.Wiggins and a #1 to Minnesota?
Minnesota would be stealing Wiggins if they get him. Love is headed out the door anyway. Pick up the number 1 pick for a guy that is about to leave town?Cavs offer Waiters, Bennett and mult 1sts for Love.
If they can do this without Wiggins, I'll be amazed.
Even if Minny balks....I think Cle should hold firm (as long as that's what Lebron wants!).
I realize I'm in the minority, but dealing Wiggins, the best prospect in years and under contract for what, 4 years at ~ $4M per year, for Love who will get what, 4 years at $18M, is a dangerous, dangerous gamble.Cavs offer Waiters, Bennett and mult 1sts for Love.

someone should draw a little animation of people jumping from the SS Heat to the SS Cavs with a little Pat Riley in the captain's char of the SS Heat crying and a Dan Gilbert in the SS Cavs laughing, while his first mate Gilligan throws "the letter" off the other side of the boatand 'Bron could be para-sailing above the entire scene smilingThe Heat's twitter account has already lost over 300,000 followers.

The problem is that those 3 guys essentially make what Love is making this year.I realize I'm in the minority, but dealing Wiggins, the best prospect in years and under contract for what, 4 years at ~ $4M per year, for Love who will get what, 4 years at $18M, is a dangerous, dangerous gamble.Cavs offer Waiters, Bennett and mult 1sts for Love.

I'd keep Wiggins, and use the $14M saved on another big piece. Not to mention Waiters and Bennett who are still extremely young and wild cards themselves. A guy like LeBron could completely change those guys.
