Shockers are going to embarrass Kentucky and earn the respect nobody is giving a team that has won 35 in a row, after a final 4 run last year with the same group of players.
I think plenty of people give them respect. They are obviously a very good team. But the 35 in a row doesn't mean much to me. If they played Kansas, Florida or Wisconsin's schedule, do you think they are undefeated?

One of their best win was Tennessee at home by 9. Florida killed Tennessee at home and won by 9 on the road. I guess another way of putting it, if Florida played Wichita States schedule, would they also be undefeated?

Not saying Wichita State wouldn't be one of the best teams in the country had they played KU's schedule but they'd certainly have several losses.
Nobody gives them respect... I haven't heard anyone pick them to the final 4.
I know only Shuke cares but I have them in a F4. I'm sure I could find a few national guys with them in the F4. And that is just with a really unfortunate match up next round.
After they beat UK today, they'll be underdogs against UL. Imagine that, a 36-0 underdog.ETA: maybe if they really destroy UK, they'll be even money against UL.

Thoughts on Wiggins??

When UNC was recruiting him, I read all these articles that he was the next big thing in the NBA. While I think he'll have a solid career, I don't see an NBA superstar in the kid. Is it just me?

I sure hope so, but my gut says UK is just too talented. HOPE I am wrong.
As a UL fan I would think you'd rather play Kentucky than Wichita.
Not really, I would rather play Wichita State. IF I had a choice.
No respect :)

The Shockers/UK game is the perfect example of why an older Europe league caliber group of talent that has played together for years is much better than a younger group of future NBA players thrown together for 6 months.

Take this exact team of UK players and make them play one more year together and they're much more dangerous. WSU getting no love, hope UK gets spanked.

Gators are another example of this.
The Spurs in the NBA are a perfect example.

A good number experts have WSU in the Four. I didn't see any who had UVA though.

All I've heard for the last two weeks is MSU, UL, & Florida...

I agree with you, UVA gets no love and they were really impressive this year.

He's having a bad game today, but he's young and inconsistency is expected. Reminds me kind of a young but not-as-good Kevin Durant.

I guess it depends on what you mean by solid. If by solid, you mean probably a few ASG appearances, then yes. Whether he becomes a superstar will depend on how he develops. As others say, he is more raw than Parker but has much more potential if he puts it all together.

He's a great athlete - can jump out of the gym. He's got the tools from why I can see.

Yes, doubled in the press, you should try to dribble through it. Then beat the double and throw a pass instead of just taking the space.

So the year of the freshmen will end with a whimper. CBS probably not very happy. No Wiggins. No Embiid. No Parker. No Ennis. Randle and UK guys are dogs.

Not a ton of NBA talent going to be left.

After 8 years, they just closed the sports bar across the street from my house... It was never packed, but always a decent amount of people... TVs everywhere, great bar food, & about 400 beers (no joke) available. Very kid friendly - Now I don't where I'm watching the UNC game.

They replaced it with this expensive Madison Ave boutique, un####ing real http://www.rag-bone.com/

Anyone watch ISU this year? Outside of Marcus Fizer I know nothing about them.

Just gives them a theme they can beat into the ground about experience getting it done

Could be the most disgusting link in the history of the FFA.

Opened up the Sunday Portland paper to see what they had to say about Ducks loss and this quote was in a column.

'It was like watching the Olympic Dream Team lose to Puerto Rico in the 2004 Olympic Games.'

This column read like a 15 beating a 2 and not a 2 beating a 7.

My favorite sports bar, about 150 feet from my front door was just replaced by this :kicksrock:

I will still watch with or without them
So will I. I'm not sure what drives ratings but an article I read pretty much said apart from a real Cinderella like Butler, Wichita State, or VCU, most fans probably want to see NBA talent. Makes sense as I imagine a good deal of NBA fans watch to see future talent.

Id rather watch good teams, great games, and interesting storylines than watch NBA prospects.
