Pretty funny how NOBODY wouldve picked this final four but its not like its a bunch of cinderellas. These are traditional powerhouse teams.

Worst half of BBall all season. Ah well..Go 'Cats. Gotta revert to my Kentucky roots now I guess.

I honestly could see Tom hang it up after this season...

All SEC final now...I hope

Perimeter defense, as I've pointed out, is huge in CB. UConn has it. MSU has it. Florida has it. Kentucky has it.

Winning from the line is f'in huge, as Donyell Marshall will tell you, sadly.

Great day for UConn. Deserved the win. Too much pressure. Kevin Ollie D stamp on this team. Calhoun stamp on this team.

Time to post my favorite thing on the internet, ever.

If someone had this Final Four... possibles with the last game to be played... I would have given them a billion dollars. No joke.

On the opposite end of UF, UK will have played the highest possible seed through their region, and will wind up with the 2 in the Final Four, if they win today.

The underseeding was crazy this year.

It always fascinates me how one or two plays changes the course of sports so much. Conn down 70-67 with less than a minute to go. Brimah makes a tough shot in the paint and the free throw (60% FT shooter) and now here they are in the final four.

Too much red/pink in that bracket to be worthy of a billion dollars. Maybe a $50 office pool win but not a billion dollars. NO RED!

Don't go Roddy White on him!

Joining the Gobbler Hall of Shame

Does UCONN ever miss from the line?
Almost ~90% in the tourney so sometimes, but not often right now.
Boatright, Daniels and Napier are really good from the line (80% combined) and they probably shot most of the free throws. I just looked and they took 36 of the 44 FTs. So, while they shot well, it was 3 guys who already shoot well. I think it was huge that they were penetrating and getting fouls. They got into the bonus early in the 2nd half in both games and FTs definitely helped them close out both games.

We, in Calhoun's old words, "cut the head off the dragon."

Props to Ricky Moore and all of the guards that did what we did today. Good night, MSU. You weren't as good, Tom.

This wasn't the final four against MSU in Detroit in '09.

Or D.C. against Mason in '06

Or San Antone against Texas in the Elite Eight in '03.

Or N.C. in The Elite Eight against N.C. in '98.

We just...won.

Good game. How many minutes did you play today?

Sorry Daisy and Spartans Rule. :(

Great season.
:kicksrock:
Lol I am not sure if you are mocking us or feel bad for us.
MSU grad. Been here the whole time.
I missed it and am sorry. I really thought this was 2000 all over again.
No problem..

We didn't come to play today. Scratched our way back into it at the end of the first half, but went completely away from our inside game the second half. Total implosion. Looked worst than the Nebraska loss at home this year. Ah well. Congrats UConn, well deserved win.

Just all around pathetic effort today by every Spartan except Payne and Harris. Seemed liked everyone else played extremely timid. Oh yeah and Appling ####ed them, but Izzo's fault for playing him. He added nothing no assists, no defense, no nothing except stupid turnover and bad fouls

I always forget him too. All I see is "Bronco" ... :hot:
That is what I seen so I had no idea. I apologize in advance as I start my second glass of wine, if I get loopy.

GR3 needs to push the tempo on Randle. I saw an interview where he plans to run Randle ragged and that he feels slighted all the attention Randle a getting.

Appling was a total liability for the last half a the season...pathetic way to end his career.

Giving space to Stauskas on the perimeter seems like a winning defensive strategy
He was pretty far back, but yeah, you can't leave him open anywhere. UM is a tough matchup, there really isn't another team in the country that plays like UM.

But, but I read at least 5 articles during the last 6 weeks about how he was "back" and "confident" again. Total ####### headcase, dood needed to see a shrink. I will feel bad for him as I have never see some avg 16 points a game and look like a lock to be first team All Big Ten player, go from someone who was absolutely terrified to shoot a basketball. But right now I'm pissed as hell at him and Izzo for playing him so much.
