Someone just handed me some Necco Wafers...a confectionary treat from a bygone era... What are your thoughts on them?

This.I picked up a pack of the chocolate ones a few weeks ago. Ate them all in about 15 minutes.

Fresh Neccos are better, they are still soft. Most Neccos are hard a rock from sitting on the store shelf for a couple years.

Although I wouldn't say they taste great, I did like the taste of the chocolate ones. I enjoyed getting them because you used to get a lot of bang for your buck..

The all chocolate sleeve seems like a cop-out for those not willing to put in the work of eating down through the licorice, clove and peppermint garbageto the all important brown.

Chocolate and black are awful. The rest, particularly the yellow, orange, and red are incredible.
