I'm also benching LT this week whether or not he plays. I'm just put off by all these games where he seemingly is somewhat hurt, but makes little effort to play through it. Chris Johnson getting the go for me.
Yup.Drafted Ocho Stinko pretty high (before the shoulder injury) & starting last week, he's been replaced in my lineup by Chambers. It'll stay that way until I see something from him & the Cincy O.Holt is very close as well. That 45 yard wresteling match endzone TD bought him one more week, but he's on the bench bubble. No denying his talent, but jeez is that St Louis offense, offensive or what? :X
Hard to tell who is a stud in week 3. Is Eddie Royal a stud? How about Torry Holt? Or Joseph Addai? How about Ladanian? To early to tell who your studs are right now. Start whoever you think will have the best game.I'm planning on sitting Edwards at Ravens this week for Santana Moss vs Cardinals. Logically, where you drafted a player doesn't mean squat once your draft is over - you have a roster of players to choose from every week & want to play the guys you think will score the most points. No doubt. I would say he is not benching studs, since he is replacing them with other studs. Kinda not the same thing.

FWIW.My opinion was solidified on this topic last week.I decided to try to capture lightning in a bottle last week by playing Chris Johnson and Michael Turner and benched MBIII against a tough Eagles defense, with bruised ribs, and a rookie RB waiting to steal his job.I lost by 4 points. Had I played Barber, I would be league leader in points and undefeated.Instead I'm dead smack in the middle of the pack.Always....play your studs.

No, I meant Johnson and T. Jones.But the issue with this is you KNOW the day you bench your big player, is the day he'll go off and you'll end up kicking yourself for not doing it.I don't think you can go wrong with your 3 RB's. I also have Jamal sitting on my bench with SJax! Thankfully, Portis is doing OK, and CJohnson has stepped up. I also was fortunate enough to grab Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Cutler.
Yep - depends why you are benching them. I have seen too many owners overthink matchups and bench a stud. It's OK to bench a stud if they haven't done anything for a couple of weeks - ie Cin. players. However, I have seen too many people bench somebody like ADP just b/c they have a tough matchup, and that is how you end up overthinking and losing games. If they are hot and producing points, keep them in as they will usually find a way to score points.
No you have it backwards, benching your studs means you would have benched Plax and started Curtis. You started your stud and lost.You can't seriously be saying that Curtis is a stud? Outside of 2 fluke games last year what has he done? He is a great fill-in for good matchups, he is the guy you start over your stud if the matchup is right.forbidden doughnut said:
