Ministry of Pain

The Patriots have a chance to fall to 2-5 today, when is the last time they had a losing record going into the 2nd half of the season?

Im thinking of starting Damien Harris today.  Weather is terrible, Edelman and Harry are out,  and I’m thinking New England has to run the ball all day today.  thoughts?

The Patriots are absolutely going to run the garbage out of the ball. You never know with New England who will get the bulk, but it’s likely there will be lots to go around.

I guess probably Bill’s first year, 2000? They started out 0-4, won two straight, then dropped 4 more (2-8) before finishing 5-11. The 9-7 season after their first SB win they stated 3-4 before winning their 8th game. Record 17 straight seasons of 10+ is about to end.

For Pats to have any shot this is gonna be all caps UGLY. I expect under 20 passes from Cam and just run run run and then fake a pass and run again.

I dropped Harris this week in full PPR. At the time I had 10 RBs rostered including IR spots (down to 8 now.) Pretty sad I’m not even comfortable flexing him in a game that should script well for him.

For context I’m starting J Williams and Carson (likely swapping to Murray at 4pm), with John Brown at the Flex. The latter is definitely in the that’s a bold move Cotton category. My team is trash so please ignore anything here that might be construed as FF advice.

Bills finally get a stop, but a little disconcerting to know the Pats were going to run and still giving up some good chunks. Disheartening for a defense when you know what’s coming and still get punched in the mouth a bit. But to give them credit, they manned up and made the stop and forced the punt.

Agree for the most part, but they did end up forcing a punt, and it was only a a handful of plays. Let's see how the next series or two go...

Moss is like the only Bill I don't have stock in.  :wall:

I really don't care, because I want the Bills to win more than my FF teams, but figures.

Anyway, a couple of nice gashes by Moss. Love that drive.

I did NOT expect the Bills to run the ball like that on New England. And I’ll be honest, Moss has looked a lot better than Singletary the last 2 weeks and I did not expect that to be the case either.

He had huge holes on those two runs. Not sure you can really compare the two in this game just yet...

Mitch Morse out for the game with a concussion. He’s had concussion issues before so this could be a long term thing.

That was a dumb-### play by Allen. Hopefully it's a learning moment and we don't see a step-out-before-throwing-it-away play again in his career.

I swear I’m going to lose my freaking mind that McDermott gets when to run the kick out exactly backwards every single time. It’s sheer insanity.

BB pretty clearly has ZERO confidence in his offense. Starting to feel like the Pats are almost throwing in the towel in the season. Weird.

Yet they are tied. Has anyone even heard of the receivers they are playing? Meyers, Byrd, Zuber, and Olszewski?

@GroveDiesel I see John Brown has only 1 target today

are they not running many 11 formations and mostly just Beasley/Diggs getting the snaps?
The wind has been pretty brutal and the Bills are having success on the ground. I think that once the run game started working, they decided to make that their game plan.

yeah I knew was a big risk starting him, but I was (and still am) a big favorite so just went with it as a what the heck flex

(over Hines....which hurts but still gonna win)

like Brown a lot for the second half so no regrets picking him up

Oh rook.... you can’t not catch that in a game like this. With Buffalo’s defense the last two drives, this feels like it’s setting up for a Buffalo choke.

Bills D needs a quick stop or a quick score by Pats. I don’t see how they are going to stop them once we get to 4 down territory

Bills blitzing on every play right now and Cam just calmly hitting short passes. If Bills are going to blitz, they need to get up and press the receivers.
