New IDP league/roster size...help (1 Viewer)

This is the first year we are starting and IDP league. My GMs are afraid of change and of the proposed roster size. We are currently a 12 team standard scoring.

Thinking QB RB RB WR WR RB/WR TE K DB DB LB LB DL DL 2x D flex

How many bench spots/ total roster size should we carry? Is the IDP 2-2-2 plus 2 flex wise for a cautious league?

Just be careful that the 2-2-2 formation doesn't lead to some guys who are inexperienced with IDP deciding to stack up on offensive players instead and skewing the roster breakdown of the league.

If they are that wary of IDP, you might want to put limits on the number that can be held in each position or under offensive/defensive designation.

On a personal note I like to start 3-4-4 in IDP, but this would necessitate 45 player plus rosters which your league mind find hard to absorb.
