My favorite 3 albums right here as well. ####ed Up is a can't miss.I'd add in:

Handsome Furs - Sound Kapital

Araab Muzik - Electronic Dream (especially if you're looking for some house to spin)

Why doesn't anyone give me nice things?Your username, if you remember, was a reference to a Tool song before it was yours.

If you don't have any Tool albums, I suggest you get them.

Interesting to see Neon Bible in there. I still think it's their worst.

The Suburbs might be a more complete album, but I just prefer Neon Bible for some reason. I really love every song on there. Funeral will probably always be my favorite of theirs though.

All three are great albums, but if I had to choose, I'd take Funeral as well.Another great album, regardless if you've heard her before is PJ Harvey's new album 'Let England Shake'. ####### brilliant.
 
Ya, get Deerhunter HD, you will be looping that quite a bit once you hear it.

Maybe a little Animal Collective as well

2 albums that Ive been listening to a lot lately from this year are:

Rival Sons.......

Both have a different kind of classic rock sound.

 
Try this. Album is Devil & the Deep Blue Sea by Black Stone Cherry.

Their last album was pretty good too, try

on for size if you like the sound. Album is Folklore & Superstition.

Agree completely. Still a band that does not have 5 star performances every night, but they are getting there. The past two albums (59 Sound and American Slang) in particular are well worth the price of admission.
 
May I also suggest The Hold Steady as no one has mentioned them yet. Stay Positive, Boys and Girls in America, and Heaven is Forever = winning.

 
Bon Iver-Bon Iver. One of the the most amazing albums of the year. On the flip side, it DOES kind of make me want to cut myself.

It's pretty amazing.

Which is a great tune on that album. But it is also the name of the guy in his avatar.

Doesn't warrant a new thread (and I know the song has been everywhere), but I have to say that Adele's new single is incredible. Her voice on that chorus is freaking amazing. I hope the rest of the album holds up when it's released. It'll be a feat to come anywhere close to 21, but she's off to a good start with this single.

I agree. She's great but not liking that song. I wonder if why people are liking that song so much is simply because she's finally back making music.

Tons of emotion in the song. And the vocal on the chorus is absolutely stunning.
