***New Orleans at Atlanta*** (+5.5) (44) (1 Viewer)

Winston when healthy can put points up and turn the ball over. Atlanta has a suspect defense and not much offense beyond Pitts.
It'll be a slow death for the birds.

Saints- 34
Falcons-14

Just checking in to let everybody know (since these things sink to the bottom anyway) that I benched Grady Jarrett in the waning moments of roster decisions today. Nice. Grady has two sacks and twenty points.

Way too early to make any assumptions about the game or season but this is the way I thought the Falcons could be competent. Granted, I'm not sure if the defense or Winston is more responsible for the 7 points the Saints have but I'm pleasantly surprised by the offense. If Mariota can limit his mistakes he has some weapons. The big questions to me were O-line and Marcus turning the ball over. Special teams were good in the first half - will need strong play there all season.

We all thought Dalton supplanted Taysom, but it will be interesting to see what happens with Winston injured.
Looked like Winston was grabbing his helmet. Hill has been the best part of their offense today.
That was one of the very few times I’ve seen a player go into the blue tent and then pop back out to run the next series.

...

Saints can’t stop Patterson so it probably won’t matter ... but it’s not time for the Falcons to relax.

So let me get this straight...the Saints traded up for Olave, spent the 11th pick on him, and can only find a way to look his direction twice?

There’s no relaxing ever - defense is bad and they played soft last series which is just so damn frustrating.

Good - I can't stand that coaching by the Falcons. Totally deserve to lose
Kinda the best thing that can happen for them. They looked stupid at times, respectable at times, and lost. NO was a strong candidate for the playoffs but didn’t look consistent enough.

No joke. Once they finally got some pass protection it was night and day. Not sure what they changed, though.
