New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers -- NFC Wild Card Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Easily the best game of the weekend.

And yes, I'm a Titans fan saying that. Congrats saints.

How does a professional WR, who catches balls every day of his life, on repeat, not make that catch?

Scratch that, he didnt even get his HANDS ON IT

Frankly I’m shocked they let Newton back in the game.

he didn’t get poked in the eye, he got KTFO & couldn’t even run off the field. In slow mo you could see his head crunching into his neck, and on the ground he had crazy eyes.

something very fishy with that.

You know they don’t actually play against each other right?
Uh oh. Don't be hurt before it hurts.

You know how important it is. You also know I'm speaking colloquially and off-the-cuff. I'm saying if I have to go into a big game with two teams separated by merely a game or two, and you give me a choice of Brees vs. Keenum, considering how Keenum played in GB Week 16, I'm taking Brees.

Now, there's a whole lot more to it, but it's shorthand.

Then he got kicked in the head (accidentally)

Brees does still scare me though. As someone pointed out either here or somewhere else though, it would be amazing to take down the Saints next week and the Falcons the week after for a little payback for a couple of old brutal losses.

I get it.

I will take Keenum + Vikes D over Brees + Saints D.

Fair?

Oh boy...would you like to make a never come back bet?
Sure, I bet you that QBs never play against QBs one on one in the game of NFL rules football.  If I'm right leave and never come back.  If I'm wrong, I'll leave and never come back.

Oops.  I'm right.

Yeah, but the Vikings defense > saints.

Nowhere near as much as expected before the year, but Vikings defense is still better.
The Saints defense is better than it has been.

They are not really that good though. The Vikings defense is echelons better than the Saints defense.

Manti Teo is one of the Saints best defenders. I rest my case.

Ain't nothing fishy with TV ratings.

great game. happy to see Carolina choke yet again. Next week should be fun too. I expect it to be a heavyweight bout.

They're sixth in Weighted DVOA. Minnesota is number one. Should be some heavy hitters.
