New Trend- Girls with bras visible (1 Viewer)

Before we get all this is the greatest time to be a young man, this new trend is a bit disturbing to me. I teach 8th grade. Now that the weather has turned, I have an increasing amount of girls who wear what I can only describe as a very loose tank top. Something you might see one of those big muscle guys wearing at the gym. However, these girls have nothing on underneath it except their bras. And in some cases they are very healthy up there. As a male teacher I cant say anything about it. I did tell my wife who teaches at a HS and she says this is the new rage. I do not know why the administration has not put a stop to it.

When I was in middle school, I would get excited if I saw a bra strap. Now these kids get to see the entire bra.

Am I off here. Is this just the next fashion trend. Or is there something wrong with an 8th grader wearing a bra with a shmata over it

And no way am I snapping any pics. This is the closest I can find, and this tank top is tight compared to what Im seeing

The craziest thing is that the boys dont seem overly distracted. If it was me, my eyes would be blinded from looking at the sun the whole period

You say all of this like it is a bad thing.  Obviously you are able to keep yourself under control.  Keep your damn mouth shut and don't ruin it for the male kids in the class (and, I suppose, the females that are learning which side of the rainbow they fall on).

I pick up my daughter every day from High School and many of the girls are wearing next to nothing.  Tiny tight shorts and the loose tank tops you mentioned.  I have no idea how any boy can pay attention in class.

This is where I come in and lament that people in my age range (born in 77, graduated college in 99) have been on the wrong side of music and sexy clothing forever and it makes me mad.  We were raised with Bon Jovi and Brian Adams and our reward for suffering through that hell was grunge during college.  Thanks - anyone ever try to #### with Nevermind playing in the background?  And just about as soon as we all started going out into the world, Napster and MySpace and now Spotify came along to show us "hey, discovering new music is super easy and you don't have to haul around a case of CDs anymore."

As for fashion, when I was in college girls dressed in baggy clothes and bell bottoms and flannel and beanies and stuff.  And again, right about the time I graduated college it became about ### cleavage and low, tight jeans.  Nevermind that my office is on a college campus now and the scenery (yoga pants, the aforementioned bra-showing, etc.) blows my mind daily.

Stupid generation.

Interesting.

Can we form and sign a petition doing away with all high wasted shorts/pants/jeans on women? Such a horrible look.

I was born/graduated in the same year.  And you nailed this.  My buddies and I say the same #### all the time.  Especially one who is a HS math teacher.

meh, it's different then when most of us were growing up, I mean, all a kid today has to do is click a link to be exposed to any kinda filth they desire ... a pair of scantily clad #### doesn't hold the same "HOLY ####!!1!11!" novelty it did years ago ...

jeez, we had to wait 'til the older kids got through with such stalwarts like "Burnt Toast" or "Swank" or "Hustler" before we were able to ogle ... and it was glorious

but nowdays? not so much ... different world, gents.

Side note - our kids have been out of school for 2 weeks now. Weird to see kids still in school.

Flip side is we start back August 12...

Glad I'm not a teacher because this trend is fantastic in NYC/Hoboken. Saw it about 10 fantastic times at Pier 13 yesterday.

When I was in middle school, a lot of girls wore shirts called ID/ID# and they had buttons up the front and this well endowed female use to wear them next to my seat and innocently lean forward allowing the flaps or space between the buttons to take shape   :)

I look forward to your hot take on man buns in 2023.
Listen, I dont proclaim to be a fashion expert. I only know what I see. If this has been going on forever, my bad. This is the first time I am seeing it. And like others, Im now seeing it outside of school also

Not a fan of man buns, but apparently this gets super hot chicks so who am I to hate.

Boys have easily accessible p0rn these days. A bra is nothing.
No way. If you have an erection almost every waking moment of your life, this is torture.

I can just picture ##### ##### wearing one of these get-ups in middle school. There might have been riots.

Don't the schools have dress codes that can be enforced?
yes, but for whatever reason, no one is saying anything to the girls.

No way Im saying something and sending them to the office. I could tell a fellow teacher but that would mean I have to leave my classroom and talk to someone else. Not too interested in that. One of the perks of being a teacher

Man you had Bryan Adams singing about the "Summer of 69", why are you complaining? Lol

I guess guys in your age range were too young to appreciate the Madonna "Like a Virgin", Bananarama phase.

I've seen more than enough of what OP is talking about but if you guys are saying it'd be difficult being a teacher, you have other issues. High school girls are 14-18. Control yourself.

Yes and no. When we are talking about 14, 15, 16 that should be pretty easy. I mean, they are clearly girls. You start getting into 17 and 18 though then some of these girls don't look like girls anymore but really coming into womanhood. I can see struggling at times with junior/senior high schoolers at times but when you are talking about jr high and early high school- that shouldn't be a struggle at all and if it is- you need to seek help.

Did I give off the idea that I couldnt control myself. I dont have any issues with that, I just think its inappropriate in school
