I work on 34th and go to Rattle and Hum and Nelly Spillane's off and on.

Both would likely show the Derby, not sure about the fight.

Not going to be in town, but I'm sure you can find some options for both. Enjoy your stay.

Heading to CitiField on a whim. So nice out, perfect day for a ballgame (via LIRR) and then some top down jeepin.

It's unbelievable what is going on out here today. Im struggling to keep the drool stains off of my shirt.
I haven't seen anything today- stuck up on Park Ave at jobsite or in the office.

but I noticed over the weekend that the short, short, short denim shorts seem to have legs ... *cough*
Short shorts that show off belly button and titty bouncing cleavage shirts appear to be in style. Hope this trend continues.
I saw the Holy Grail..... I stared at the Eclipse...

At Gramercy Park, watching 2 young girls taking pics of the park... One wearing a Sun Dress and cowboy boots, looking like Miley in her prime, bent to put her bag down....

Saw it all...Bare.. I'll never forget it.

Turned to my buddy.... "did you see that",..... He's clueless.... I ask again... He mumbles something...

Then she bends to pick the bag back up.... Thank god he got to see it too....

Wow.

Briefly thought of following behind but, I'm pretty sure that's stalking.... so...

Just Wow....

Saw a homeless guy stroking it on the corner of 48th and 6th Ave once. What makes it more interesting is it was at lunch time with tons of traffic floating around.

Sorry folks, but no pics.

used to see this all the time back in the 80s, early 90s. the wife had guys chase her to her dorm, ##### out, when she was at Parsons.

obviously don't miss that.

but I do miss that that type of behavior chased out the wannabees. drug addled homeless addicts too. you weren't vigilant and respectful of your surroundings, you got punished. now these people are free to just be idiots without ramifications. waaaaay too many idiots who clearly don't give a crap about the world around them living here now.

from the first sentence, I thought it might have been Spencer Tunick- who specializes in fine-art mass nude portraits.

my ex is in this one somewhere.

Nice....

Go out for a walk looking for some yoga pants and I find all this ;)

Summer has officially opened in Downtown. Finally catching up to Midtown. Many, many attractively attired womens out there.

How is this an article in the paper?

This sign is pretty clear to me, don't park there from X to Y

This guy is a college professor? Glad he is getting publicity for not being able to read. I watch people illegally park on my block all the time bc they can't read street signs, that's human error.
"I felt pretty stupid"

well... .yeah.

not sure I get what the guy is complaining about either- don't park here... so... don't park here. It's not a reebus.

Boomer and Carton from WFAN are putting together a celebrity softball game at Yankee Stadium on June 3rd to benefit the families of the NYPD officers who have died in the line of duty over the past year. Tickets are only $12.

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/05/12/boomer-carton-true-blue-nypd-tickets/

The guys were mentioning this morning that they're having some good success getting companies to buy blocks of seats and give them to employees, or donate to local precincts. Goal is to raise $500K.

and Yankees are giving vouchers to another game for every ticket purchased

Forgot about that, thanks.

I know FC42 is a big supporter of the NYPD. Get this in front of the big shots at your company! And it's general admission, so no need to hit StubHub for the best seats.

The CEO of one of my client's and I have become friends and whenever he is in NYC (he doesn't live here) we get together for lunch. We have been to a number of interesting places, like dim sum in Chinatown. He wants to try something new and different. His office is in Union Square but we can go anywhere in Manhattan and don't have to limit it to 1 hour. I am open to suggestions and was hoping you guys would have some ideas. Nothing expensive, but it doesn't have to be $10 a person either.

Try to get a reservation at ABC Kitchen... Not obnoxiously expensive, but awesome atmosphere and food, also not far from Union Square.

Huge heroin bust on Sunday in the Bronx.

The seizure on Sunday capped an elaborate yearlong investigation, yielding 70 kilograms of heroin — or nearly 155 pounds — that investigators say came from Mexico and was sold in chunks to various dealers for distribution upstate and across the Northeast.

The seizure, had the drugs been broken down in heroin mills and packaged into $10 envelopes, was enough “to supply a dose of heroin for each and every New York City resident, man, woman and child,” the city’s special narcotics prosecutor, Bridget G. Brennan, said. She estimated the drugs’ street value at roughly $50 million.

pret a manger. the one on 17th... no, scratch that- the one 13th. you know what- forget it... the one on 12th is money.

blue water grille out of the question? or coffeeshop for the wannabe model hostesses
I've been hitting Haru Sushi over Choshi lately.....

I know you were down on Choshi years ago... Now it scares me a little.

I like Bourbonia in that area for Mediterranean

Also Craft is is nearby....

Maybe Eataly rooftop??? Nice space for meeting/lunch
Bourbonia is good and I will include that on the list (I want to bring up a few options since he wants to try something new and am not sure what he will decide on). Craft isn't open for lunch and I am not a big fan of Eataly, but I haven't been on the rooftop.

We block off an hour and a half to 2 hours so it doesn't have to be in Union Square.

We have been to the Coffee Shop so that's out. I was thinking about Blue Water Grill or Union Square Café since both are closing soon and it will be our last chance, but we have been to both so he probably won't want to go.

This is why I am having trouble deciding. We have been to most of the good places in Union Square so it doesn't have to be there and he really wants to try something new. Some of my favorite restaurants are only open for dinner, so some of my ideas are out because of that. I also can't spend $50 a person on lunch so that is a consideration too.

What do you guys think of these:

Luke's Lobster - they have several locations. They are supposed to have the best lobster rolls in the city. The one in Midtown East seems to have a good amount of seating. I haven't been there so I am only going by what I have heard.

Blue Smoke or Hill Country. Probably the best BBQ places in NYC.

Lupa - They have a $25 price fixed lunch and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Mario Batali restaurant, right?

Mary's Fish Camp

I'd pick Lupa... That looks good, gotta put it on my list, I've been to Otto and it looks similar...

I'm done with 'best Seafood in the city" as well as "best BBQ in the city"...

Went to Blue Smoke recently.... meh

Went to City Crab recently and it was a horror - I live 5 miles from the ocean, I knew "City seafood" was a bad choice.

Big fan of Luke's as their rolls have much less mayo than others. Actually prefer the crab over the lobster but that's a matter of preference. Only issue is I can't get full on one of them and considering the price, I view it more as a luxury than a regular meal.

I forgot about Otto. Definitely adding that to the list. Thanks!

I think he will like trying Batali's restaurants. One of the things he likes about our lunches is exploring NYC and Batali is one of the most famous and best chefs in NYC.

I heard about USC, but not BWG, which is one of our oldest and truest standby's (even though they've changed the menu in the last year). damn.

Lukes on 7th is great- get it for the wife all the time. but nowhere to sit.

I like the BBQ idea- either place. BLT Fish downstairs is good (upstairs much better)... never been to Mary's or Lupa.

Yeah, that's my concern with them and Lupa since I never get full on a price fix meal.

Choshi... wait a sec- is that spot on Irving? lol- didn't we debate this like 10 years ago?!

Meant to comment on Lupa too...went a couple years ago and while I don't remember the pasta I had, it was as good as you'd expect. We also had a big plate of the Italian meats and they were melt in your mouth good.

Yeah, my wife went last week and said they didn't feel good...

I'm done.
