NFC and AFC (1 Viewer)

I particpate in a "playoff" format. So, drafting teams that will be around after wild card weekend are a must. Who are your 6 playoff teams in each conference?

I'll start by projecting the following:

NFC (In no particular order)

Seattle

Carolina

Chicago

Dallas

NYG

Washingon

AFC

Denver

Indy

Pittsburgh

Miami

NE

Cincy

Am I target the players from the right teams?

Who do you like?

AFC:

New England

Pittsburgh

Baltimore

Indianapolis

Denver

Kansas City

NFC:

Dallas

New York

Chicago

Atlanta

Carolina

Seattle

There's some there.

me:

NFC:

WAS

TB

STL

CHI

NYG

CAR

AFC:

KC

IND

NE

BAL

CIN

PIT

IMO, it'd be a good idea to invest in not more than two teams from the same division. Calling NYG, DAL, WAS is a big risk IMO.
But it might be a smart drafting strategy. If you are looking to make sure you have players left into the postseason, pick a stong division(like the AFC West(not Oakland) or NFC East, and pick a lot of players from those 7 teams.

I might go so far as to say you could reasonably draft an entire squad from the NFC east, and have it be one of the better teams in your league, and certainly a lock to be a force in your playoffs.

1st: Portis/Tiki

2nd: Owens

3rd: JJones

4th: Burress

5th: Shockey

6th: Bledsoe/Eli?

7th: Glenn/Reggie Brown

and so on.

Agreed...this is my initial gut feeling too. To heavily target the top 3 NFC East teams (Dallas, Wash, NYG..sorry Philly just my opinion) and to also target Seatlle and Carolina heavily.

Personally, Id go Dal, Nyg, and Philly...WAS does nothing for me. Id be surprised if they were a playoff team this year. But the point remains the same. It seems like a viable drafting strategy for you.
