Huh? Looking cool? I am trying to look cool by calling Jay Cutler what he is? Ok. Have a good night Rudi.
The fact that you're still allowed to post here is a black-eye against the entire FBG organization/company. Anyone that is involved..from staff to poster...should be ashamed.

Overreact much?
Not at all. I don't report posters but when people cross the line so obviously somebody has to step up and keep this place above-board. Sorry if you don't see it that way.

As a said leading up to this game. I'm going to be glad I was there, win or lose, and I am. What a great game to be at. Thought the Bears has no chance multiple times only to be sucked back in all the way to the last minute.

In saying that. I want Lovie Smith's head on a ### ####ed platter.

For him to OK that play, coming out of an unnecessary time out, on 3rd and 2 is inexcusable. On the off chance that he didn't OK the play, because he wasn't privy to what's going on, is even a greater offense.

It's Earl F'in' Bennett, probably your 3rd or 4th fastest WR, and your running it to the short side of the field. Who's bright idea was this?

(Yes I know it's Mike Martz. The same guy that fought to get Manamanawhalea, Chester Taylor (thought it was a good signing at the time), and Todd Collins in here. But I really have a hard time bashing the guy. Ron Turner would have led this team to a 5-11 record)

And to multiply the F up that was that play call, they didn't call their last time out to make sure they had the 4th down play right.

Did they really come out of that time out on 3rd down with 2 plays called? And if they did, they must have foreseen that the end around would result in a loss of 2 yards if they left the 2nd play in there to be run.

It's just horrific coaching.

And never mind the fact that they had all season to watch Todd Collins and Caleb Haine and not be able to decide who should be the back up and 3rd string guys.

That was two lost possessions to start the 2nd half by throwing some stroke that's had a decade and a half track record of utter and complete suckitude.

I didn't see pre game warms ups, so I have no idea what kind of range the kickers were getting. But pass up a FG in the 1st (51 yards) and 2nd quarter (48 yards)? It's Robbie Gould, he's earned the right to try and make at least the 2nd quarter FG.

But it will all come down to that time out on 3rd and 2, and subsequent play call, in my mind. It's the kind of thing that will wake me up from a dead sleep in the middle of June and remind me that I take Bears football a little too seriously some times.

While him calling Cutler that was pretty bad...I don't think it crossed it as bad as others have here...to the point of that statement about FBG being ashamed.

You are having quite the meltdown tonight.
 Really?I'm not the one stepping over the line (by a wide margin). Excuse me if I can stay within the lines.

Wait, you really thought that crossed a line? Really? Far worse things go unnoticed every day in this place.

NO EXCUSE. Just because something goes unnoticed doesn't make it OK. I suppose you think shoplifting is OK. It isn't a crime if you don't get caught?

Let's not do this, thanks.

Right, that's exactly what I suggested. :)Given that far worse things happen here every day and avoid punishment, I assume that this (what you are so upset about) also doesn't cross the line. Doesn't make it right, but IMO one of us is being realistic here....and the other appears to be overreacting a bit.

Unbelievably bad. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why they didn't let Gould kick it. He's made fgs from that distance all year. One punt only netted a gain of 11 yards. In a game where every point is important, they passed on 2 very makeable attempts. Gould is freaking clutch. So horrible. :topcat:As far as the 3rd and 2 call, that ended the game right there. That's all on Lovie. The decision is ultimately up to him on the 3rd and 4th down there and he blew it. Was he saving a timeout just in case Hanie made a spectacular play to convert the 4th down? WTF! People at the game had to be furious after that. :lol:Curious as to how the crowd responded to Jay and how they responded to Hanie. I can't imagine they weren't behind Hanie. Was there anything made of Cutler not coming back in the game?

Lots of questions being asked about where Cutler was. I sit in the North End Zone (which is where the entrance to the locker room is) and saw him limp off after the pick right before half time. So we knew he was dinged. When he didn't come out for the 2nd series of the 3rd quarter, I shot a text off to some friends and got word back pretty quick that it was a knee problem. By then, word was already spreading. As for Hanie.....Football's an odd game. If the home fans weren't aware that they needed to be quiet for the offense to work, the place would have been up for grabs when Hanie came out to replace Collins. There was a pretty good round of applause and there were some HA-NIE chants started, but nothing to crazy. Regardless, an undeniable uptick of energy in the crowd when he came out. Everyone knew Collins was crap and offered no hope what-so-over. HA-NIE chants continued throughout the rest of the game.

Awesome! I'm sure the 4th quarter was fun as hell. I remember being at the Bears/Saints game in 06 and it kicked ###. The defense completely shut down the Pack in the 2nd half. Glad to see they put up a fight and made it close. BEAR DOWN!

Like I said. Lots of moments of hopelessness, each followed by a glimmer of hope. It was a great quarter of football. 2 of the guys that I went to the game with left at the end of the 3rd. Bears have the ball, around midfield, only down 14. I was dumbfounded. Exact words out of one of them was "Like Caleb Hanie's going to lead them back and win the NFC Championship". My response "If he does, I'll ####in' be here to see it. I'm not going anywhere"Even though the Bears lost, it was probably the most exciting quarter of football I've ever watched live.

Congrats on a great season Bear fans. Your Defense is damn good.

I don't know about the Cutler deal, but he seems like someone who wouldn't just come out of a game.

I believe he felt the team had the best shot at winning with him not being able to push off or escape the rush. I think it's a bit unfair the way he's being treated right now.

A very physical game as is the norm between these two teams.

Be proud.

On that 3rd and 2, I saw Clark out wide and knew instantly he was there to block. No doubt the Packers were in "I can't believe it is this simple" when Bennett went in motion. That is the type of call that loses games, period.

I have no reason to think worse of Cutler after today.By the way, the player of the game for me was Cullen Jenkins. He absolutely dominated in the 1st half and set the tone for the Bears offense all game.

I still feel like the Bears can mount a comeback. I won't be comfortable until their lockers are cleared out for the season.

Lots of class in here from many Bears fans.

I disagree.I really am not trying to fish nor am I trying to rub salt in any wounds...I really think Jay Cutler #### the bed. Stories are made in the NFC Championship game. And Jay felt the need to sit this one on the bench. He did not want to come out and win the game, regardless of his prognosis.I had some respect for Cutler. But tonight he wasn't there and now he has even less respect than any QB in the game.

Wait, so if tomorrow you find out that Cutler has a torn ACL and MCL, you'll consider it justifiable to "think less of him" for coming out of the game? Really? Sorry, but that is absolutely crazy talk. It's not far removed from folks like Hines Ward whining when Big Ben misses a game due to concussion. The dude was hurt. The coaches and trainers decided that he wasn't healthy enough to play. End of story. The much BETTER reason to think worse of Cutler is because of how he played today. Dude looked absolutely horrible back there. Happy feet Cutler showed up again. Wasn't setting his feet properly, looked jumpy, sprayed the ball everywhere. It's just like watching Scott Mitchell during his Detroit days -- all you have to do is blitz early and hit him hard a couple times, and the guy just folds. But hey, let's get back to bashing a guy who was injured.

I'll eat some crow if it comes out as such. If he had a debilitating injury I will retract my statement.I still think he #### the bed. If it turns out he had a "bruise" will you be ok with that?Time will tell. Either way, GB is in the Super Bowl :loco:

Heck, I'm ecstatic that the game turned out how it did. So I don't really care what Cutler did. I just struggle with the logic that he "#### the bed" by missing time due to injury. And I still think his performance during the 1st half was more representative of "#### the bed" than anything else.

You're welcome to your opinion as am I. I think the injury exacerbated his "####ting the bed" if you will

It has definitely been lost in the shuffle, but the interception by Urlacher in the endzone was awesome. He's been a force on that defense for so many years and still shows up big in important games. You're awesome #54. Carried this team for over a decade now. Some teams wait for decades for a player like that. Great pleasure seeing him play for all of these years. :banned:

He was an absolute beast today. As a Packer fan, I can't stand having to face him...but as an NFL fan, he's fun to watch.

He leads a defense and calls plays on the field as good as anyone I've ever seen. Amazing player. Sad that he's never had much of an offense to work with.

Holding Rodgers to a 55.4 passer rating and forcing 2 interceptions was the best possible scenario the Bears could've hoped for on defense. Outstanding job against a great QB who had been red hot. And to think some said they weren't in the top tier of defenses. If you had shown me Rodgers stat line before the game, I would've said the Bears would win.
