NFL Capping Challenge 2016!!! (1 Viewer)

When are lines set? Do they stay the same throughout the week or do they update at some point?

In the supercontest are they set on Wednesday and then do not change?

You really need that one or two games where you have a good edge to consistently get 60%+. The difference between going 2/5 or 3/5 is big.
That is true but also if you can manage to get lucky it can be very beneficial as well for example if I make 5 picks that I have no edge for but win them all regardless it will still be very beneficial as those picks will ad up to five wins which is beneficial in the long run.

It comes down to who can consistently do thing that it takes to win for the long run over a sustained period of time over a long timespan.

lol

Is the deadline for sunday games before 1pm if you do not play the TNF one? An email sent made it sound like the deadline for all games was before TNF.

I went with in supercontest mock

Cin

Pit

Ravens -5.5

Dolphins -6

Philly -5.5

and for the capping contest

Cin

Pit

Rams

Dolphins

Philly

I didn't like the lines in the CBS site for some of the games.

There were reasons why I took those games but the Rams one I just took because I wasn't sure about Cards. As I mentioned 5 games is tough because it isn't hard to only get 2 right. I was leaning Cards but some reasons for Bears took me off. I didn't consider the other games too much because I didn't like Carolina that much, etc. I admit maybe some bad variance but I probably underestimated some of the opposing teams and overrated the ones I lost. Though I didn't think Philly would be near this bad.

Didn't think Raiders would be able to score so much on Ravens as a key reason. Didn't think Jags could keep up with Dolphins.

Back to the drawing board. I did some combination of overestimating and underestimating the Dolphins, Jags, Ravens, Oakland, Philly and Dallas. I didn't couldn't move to the Cards and I didn't want to play a TB team that looked bad in week 1. Looking back if I had to pick, with NO not a good team, laying 10 pts to a team with Winston, Mike Evans, VJ is tough.

I had

PIT

IND

CAR

PHI

SEA

If Seattle holds on, I will be 60% after 3 weeks. IND had a chance to cover even after going down a lot. Only had 2 out of 5 week 2.
