**NFL - London at Tottenham Hotspur - Broncos vs Jets**(+7.5, 43.5) 9:30am (4 Viewers)

In theory, the Broncos should run away with this one, but I think this game has trap game potential. Denver is currently riding high in 1st place in the West, and the lowly Jets are the only 0-5 team in the league.

I do think the Jets can run on Denver, or at least get big plays from the run game. Fields/Hall is tough to defend, and I think Garrett Wilson can get the best of Surtain, Wilson is quietly having a great season. The biggest issue, is can the Jets pass block? Specifically, Bonitto vs Fashanu. Bonitto leads the NFL in sacks, and Fashanu hasn't impressed.

For Denver's offense, don't underrate the Ben Powers injury, he's a big loss and leaves them with a potentially huge issue against Quinnen Williams in the interior. Not sure if Sauce follows Sutton or not. If he does, this could be a sneaky Troy Franklin week.

I think the like all Europe games so far, it ends up being pretty close at the end. I think the Jets do enough to cover and I think the under hits.

Technically Chargers are still on first since they beat Denver but the point remains. Big win for them last week. Then a weird travel schedule against a weak opponent has big trap feel to it.

Giants beating the Eagles makes me want to believe anything is possible but I think the Jets lose because they have difficulty getting out of their own way. Can they play mistake free football? I don’t think they have the discipline to do that yet. Justin Fields will have a few splash plays but can he make enough key 3rd downs to move the chains. He is just not consistent enough when facing such a stingy defense.

Broncos 28
Jets 13

I think The Jets will put their big boy pants on this week and give The Broncos a good game.
Having said that I don't think they will emulate their Big Brother in The Meadowlands and pull a big upset
Close but no crumpets...

Mile High Broncos- 27

Mile Low Jets- 20

Jets get a turnover on the Broncos first drive. First turnover in their sixth game. On the Broncos 37 or 38.

So the Jets run on first and ten again. Two yards. Not a one in the positive success rate category. Then an immediate false start. 2nd and 13

Two Fields scrambles.

This team is leading and still complete ***.

This Jets team is better than their record I think.

But Sean Payton is a tough draw.

Hey, Joe. Hello.

Nobody is a true no-win team besides that Detroit team, so yeah, you'd expect that.

ESPN's FPI (Football Power Index) has the Jets 29th. I think given which way they're going they're actually worse. They seem by most measures to be better than the Titans, maybe the Saints, and the Bengals without Joe Burrow. But the lousy teams this year, it has been observed, are really lousy.

Actually SumerBrain have been doing this since yesterday. The Jets run on 2nd down and long often. We've done it 19 times this year. We've had a successful 2nd down 4 times. Our EPA when we do that is actually unbelievably -.388 EPA.

The league average is -0.132 EPA when running on second and long and we love to do it.

It means that since we've done that twenty times this year we've lost -7.76 EPA when the league would lose -2.64 points

I mean, the fact that we keep doing it with that sort of success rate and point loss should be readily available to these men to look at.

We have an EPA/pass of .279 on defense

That means teams add around .3 points every time they throw the ball. That's on average.

And we ran another unsuccessful second and long. We haven't not run on second and long on any series of downs. We. are. freaking. terrible at it. That's 4 for 21 non-successful runs on second down.

These coaches are abysmal.

I dislike this game for so many reasons:

Having to get up so early to watch my Broncos.
The stupid air raid siren.
It’s too early to drink a beer
The camera guy who can’t find the ball.

It is only 2nd quarter, so I am sure I will have a 1/2 dozen more before it is all said and done.

Well I'm just happy I got 9 points from Folk because it's not looking like there will be any more today.

My Mason Taylor play though, yeesh. Maybe some garbage time will help.

Please bench Fields for literally anyone else
on all 22 view there it was pretty obvious he had nobody close to open. Everyone would prefer a throwaway to a sack, but it wasn't a deep sack and he didn't exactly have a long time to look around.
NOt saying Fields is good...saying that THAT play isn't one to put on his shoulders. It's far too easy to credit QBs for good and bad plays

I was looking at the score and this confused me but I get it.

I'm actually messing around with Sumerbrain, which is a football analytics AI beta testing thing. They want you to break their AI model. It's supposed to be about only football. Last night it started thinking and it tells you what it's doing by flashing key words on your screen (it's subtle). It said, "looking up crime statistics," and then it flashes "checking income inequality." I started laughing and asked it what it was up to, so it printed out all this stuff about Sweden, income inequality and crime statistics. Some study citation.

So I responded by asking it if the study controlled for immigration, nationality, or religion and I started talking about Somalian immigrants in Sweden and i just kept going on.

We eventually got back to football but I have no idea where that came from.
