NFL Mobile - What exactly does it include? (1 Viewer)

I've read that the NFL Mobile app from Verizon will let you stream the NFL Network 24/7. I've also read that it will let you watch the Red Zone channel. But, when I go to the actual Verizon NFL Mobile site all I can find is that I can watch some preseason, thursday and sunday night games, and highlight clips. If I can watch the actual tv channels on my phone it's a great deal for $10 a month as I am stuck with Cablevision (which is terrible). What's the deal?

I just downloaded the app. NFL network appears to be playing, but it doesn't look like the live feed. Right now it's showing the ATL v KC game from last night, and the nfl network schedule says the live TB v. MIA game should be on. If it's always some kind of delayed broadcast that would kill it for me.

It is usually a live feed. I know on my dish the program schedule gets screwed up at times, so it might be related to that.

Preseason live games aren't included. During the TB vs Miami game they showed the falcons vs chiefs..and now during the hawks vs titans game they are streaming Dallas vs Oakland......Watch LIVE NFL Network...Unless a game is on the we will show replays of last weeks games....Yeah you suck big red.

sigh. I did think it was a bit strange that I could watch the preseaosn games on my phone for free but if I wanted to watch them on my computer it would cost $40.

Aside from live Sunday and Thursday night games during the regular season, you also get NFL RedZone coverage. If you haven't seen Red Zone before, it's surprisingly addicting.

free on my phone but I use verizon. Is it 10 bucks for non-verizon people?

It's totally worth the minimal effort to download and install it. (free)

Is it 10 per year, per month, 10 one time?

I might do 10 per month during the season I guess. I think Kev had a thread on this last week and I felt differently but I keep using the app and am somewhat addicted. I love the timewaster threads and ideas but is there really a better way to kill the time waiting for an appointment than watching a football game on your phone? or highlights? It's pretty sweet once it becomes a habit

I've got Verizon too but starting Sep. 1 you need a VCast subscription to continue receiving the streaming video, unless you downloaded the app before July 20 or something like that. I didn't. The subscription is $10 a month. I'm pretty sure I'll be paying. Supposedly there are other benefits to having a VCast subscription but I couldn't tell you what they are.

Phones are tricky with so many ways for them to "get you" for more money. Someone write the folks at JustinTV to make an app

I downloaded it back in the draft and when they had the ''update'' July 21 ( or somewhere around that date ) it didn't say anything about a price ater sept 1. Being that you downloaded it after that date did they show you that there would be a charge after sept 1?

Everyone has to pay the $10 regardless of when you downloaded. But the $10 will get you streaming nfl redzone on Sundays.
