NFL Scouting Combine: To Compete or Not to Compete? (1 Viewer)

Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater will not throw at the NFL combine.

Top quarterbacks rarely throw at the combine these days, preferring instead to show off their talents in the more comfortable environment pro days afford. The decision not to throw will have zero bearing on Bridgewater's draft status. He will not slip past Oakland at pick five.

whats next, top running backs not running?

If I'm the player and know that not doing something won't have a negative effect, I probably don't do something unless I've been working on a weakness. There's nothing to be gained and maybe you could lose a little if you have a bad day.

If I'm a GM, I want the players to have the aggressiveness to compete.

now Teddy doesn't even want to run, did he even get changed from his causal clothes?
Future bust. This type of guy, I scratch right off my board. No confidence in his own abilities. Guys like this are why teams perpetually draft at the top of the draft year after year.
honestly I'm not even interest FF wise, rather Geno.

Agreed. But I want to see these guys throw with pressure on them.
