I find it interesting that only 11 of the 32 teams are over .500 especially given the parity that the NFL is known to represent.

Some of the bottom feeders jump up once in a while but then decend to back down to the ocean floor.

I've been wondering for awhile if the Patriots draft players with TO margin in mind, and this really highlights why.

I suspect they're willing to take average-to-poor RBs with a history of ball security or who maybe have physical attributes that relate to ball security for example. Or that they'll give playing time to CBs who are weaker in coverage but catch the ball when they have a chance to make a play. That sort of thing.

If turnovers can trump talent, why not draft with TO margin in mind?

Obviously having Brady helps a lot as well but I think it's more than that.

Shows the value of QB with Saints and Steelers up there despite TO margin. Also Browns near the bottom despite positive TO margin.
Also interesting to look at how much Detroit has seemingly squandered, considering Pt and TO differential being positive. Also Eagles and Chargers just shooting themselves in the foot despite having a lot of talent. Of course, we all kind of knew all of those, but nice to see the numbers solidify the case.

San Fran is the odd one here. In 2010 they looked like the worst team in the league with a flop at QB and coach.
