NFLDraftGuys: Post Combine Bloom 100:1-10 (1 Viewer)

Hey bloom where did you hear Jarrett ran in the 4.7s? Im a USC fan and Ive been down on him for quite sometime b/c of work ethic, lack of speed, character, and its nice to see youve figured that out

Regarding Calvin Johnson:

"If you play in PPR leagues that start 3+ WR, Johnson should be a consideration at 1 overall, especially if you're risk averse."

I know there's a lot of debate between AP and CJ going 1.1 in dynasty drafts this year, but so far I haven't been overly impressed with Calvin Johnson. I know he's got all the measureables and the great 40 time, but I haven't seen him do a whole lot other than being a jump ball receiver. AP on the other hand...I see speed, moves, a great stiff arm..toughness to run into the line or bounce it outside. What am I missing on Calvin?

Bloom, Who are your top 5 wrs just from the positional drills at the combine(gauntlet, routes, adjustment..etc) not including measurables like 40,vertical.

Just trying to figure out who looked the best on "the field"

Seems you're missing watching him play.

Bloom, the intro to that section mentions rosters with IDP so I'm wondering where a guy like Reggie Nelson fits in the Top 100 after his pro-day performance?

He ranks in the top 50, but safety is just not a premium position, so he's definitely in the bottom third of that group.

Bloom, Do you have that list compiled?

I didnt really rank the WRs combine performances as much as I just used it to fill in the picture. I would say that Steve Smith, Jason Hill, Laurent Robinson, the Joneses (Jacoby and James) and Mike Walker all did very well for themselves among the lower tier guys, and Meachem and Rice also did very well among the first round types.

 Cool, I just was trying to make sure I didn't get caught too much in the 40 numbers when comparing these guys aftyer C.J

I think you have Rice too high relative to Meachem.

I agree that Ginn is more like WR4 or WR5 then WR2.
