NFLN announcing crew for 2010 (1 Viewer)

I've given up. It's clear that what I want out of a pregame show and/or broadcast crew is now what the American public wants.

I wish we could get an alternate audio feed of a more in-depth take for the hardcore fan...or maybe an alternate feed hosted by a couple fantasy football guys. I'd definitely take Cecil and Sigmund over that crap last night. I'll even settle for one that's just the sounds of the game with no announcers.

Early in the 2nd half, after a poor offensive start by the Ravens and a punt, Theisman's brilliant analysis: "The Ravens really need to try to stop Atlanta." It's amazing no one thought of that before Joey T.

Another classic from last night, was late in the game (when Baltimore took the lead), and Cundiff kicked off...........another touchback. Theisman chimes in...."what a weapon (Cundiff).........now the Falcons are forced to go the whole 80 yards". Ummmm, the Falcons were down by 1, and a FG was all Atlanta needed. WTF??

I hope I don't come across as an apologist but I think the reality is that the NFL Network announce crew job is not one worth having. If you're a talented broadcast crew member doing either television or radio on a weekly basis, are you really going to give up your steady 17 week job for a half season of television on a network that is not available to the entire nation? I don't think the NFL Network will attract top talent for the game broadcasts until they get a game every week, or become a serious national presence on network television instead of cable.

Mute button, don't fail me now. Now that ESPN has Gruden, this is easily the worst booth ever. BTW, how does Matt Millen keep getting jobs involving football? The Gods must be laughing.
I suppose there's one person left that didn't notice what happened in Detroit. lol

"This is a big drive for Miami, they need to get some first downs..."

No #### Sherlock....thats kinda the point of the whole offense thing.

I don't undertsand why they can fill their studio with recent ex-players and coaches for Total Access etc but put such dullards into the booth. Heck, Mariucci was at the Stadium last night, I'd take him over Millen or Theisman in a shot.

Millen: "Smith hits the pylon. That's 6 points!"

Referee: "The runner's knee was down short of the goal line."

Millen" "That's a good call."

 :lmao: :lmao:

I'm a big Papa fan (in full disclosure I'm a giant fan and have been listening to him for years.) But, Theisman and Millen are terrible. These two guys are clowns. Thesiman was terrible when he did sunday nights with Paul McGuire and Mike Patrick. I can't believe this dimwit actually got back on the air. Are Theisman and Millen ever right?

Horrible, just ridiculous
