Always a good time watching the Caps beat the Wings.Caps now have points in 17 of the last 18 games and even when the offense doesn't generate a lot of chances the goaltending and D is now solid enough to keep them in games.

Holtby has been on fire during his 23 consecutive games played streak going 15-4-4 with a .928 SP and a 2.20 GA.

Just bustin balls Brasky. Any big time D available this offseason in FA? They should have some money after they buy out Backstrom, right?

If they buy out Backstrom they'll need to sign a goalie. With the Vanek move and resigning young guys, not structured to spend a ton in UFA and there aren't huge names out there anyway. Franson would be a good fit since they could desperately use his size and shot. Staal and Boychuk if they get to UFA, but I doubt Boychuk will and both will probably cost too much. Maybe Beauchemin? Need Dumba to be in a full time role and be effective next year. Top 4 is great but the scrubs they have behind them are killing them this year.7 points behind LA and 8 behind WPG with 2 games in hand on both for wild card. WPG will fade a bit. Still, that's a lot of ground to make up. Still have all their games against Edmonton and Calgary left, so there's that.

What's the story on Paul Kariya? I know it didn't end well with Ducks but I don't think ice seen his face or name since he retired. Hands down my favourite player for a lot of the 90s, early 00s

Suter -18 in last 19 games, 15 of those after the mumps. Also quarterbacking one of the worst powerplays in the league. Going to the all star game though.
